Motivation Letter

Dear Mr. Bagus Sosroseno,

Introducing, I am Mirza, an 8th-semester student in the Government Science Study Program,

Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya. Internships at Amnesty directly also
help in continuing my commitment to be a stakeholder who can make public policies fairly and
uphold human rights. Without doubting Amnesty's reputation, as well as with the list of criteria from
prospective applicants, I believe that with the capacity I have, I will contribute to Amnesty.

Talking about Human Rights (HAM) can be said as daily food. This is because the Department
of Government Science itself has a syllabus that relates directly to human rights, namely civil society
law, the concept of sustainable development, and community political involvement. This is also
supported by universities looking for interesting learning references such as at
www.humanrights.com. I also support the understanding of human rights not only in class but also
in studies, there are several times I have been a speaker about human rights cases that are big
enemies, one of which is the Omnibus Law which has pros and cons between workers and
capitalists. In addition, implementation in the realm of movement also took part in several such as
Amarah Brawijaya, and the Malang movement (MAGER) being the vanguard, to be precise at
consecutive demonstrations on Labor Day, Press Day, and Education Day where one of the main
issues raised was is press freedom in West Papua. By joining some of these movements, I believe
that Amnesty's values, one of which is collective, have been fulfilled and rightly so.

Talking about experience with new technology, I think it is very qualified because in every
work pattern in the organization that I followed during the pandemic, I used digital-based
applications to manage workflows such as Notion, Trello, Issuee and many others. It is even required
to be used because by using this application the work of the organization is always more organized,
organized and small details will not be forgotten.

In the course of 3 years during college, I am grateful that I was given the mandate to be able
to proceed in internal campus institutions, both at the executive and legislative levels. More than 5
organizations have accepted me, making me easy to get along with and work in a team. Indirectly,
this has made me understand how to position myself, where I have to work individually or as a team.

In the legislative field, as the Student Representative Body of the Faculty of Social and
Political Sciences, it has become commonplace to meet with thousands of constituents with very
different backgrounds to absorb aspirations, even this is done regularly every month with
"Aspirations Day". This program is also carried out on a personal initiative because I position myself
as a student servant. In the executive field, as the Minister of Home Affairs of the Student Executive
Board, there I was in charge of 25 organizations at once. This is a challenge for management, but not
an obstacle, even on the basis of strong cooperation we were able to increase the interest of more
than 50% of student organizations applying, and create an organization introduction concept called
"Exspartion" which has an audience of more than 3,700 people. This is very different from my
organization in previous years. Collaboration doesn't just stop there, with creative and innovative
thinking, we made a great collaboration between us and the community and came out as a finalist
for "Kampung Bersinar". With a strong will to learn under various conditions, making my
accountability report acceptable without the slightest note.

The need for a strong English language is clearly a major emphasis in today's work processes.
With a base since junior high school, namely the International Standard School Pioneer (RSBI), I have
invested in English communication both oral and written. So that makes me able to compete with
everyone in my generation.

I am submitting my resume for consideration for the Amnesty International Indonesia

Activism and Resources Intern for National Activism Programs internship. Given that the skills and
track record listed on my resume. I am sure, I am a capable person and will provide great benefits in
the future.
