II. Scope and Delimitation This study focuses on the Reading Comprehension in English among Grade 10 SPA Students in Mobo National High School for the S.Y. 2021-2022. In this study, the Reading skills of Grade 10 SPA refers to the level of their Reading Comprehension in English. Moreover, the study would look into the current ability and skills of the students.
III. Significance of the Study
The results of the study will be great benefits to the following: To the Students, The result of the study will help them to comprehend important information and the students will understand the meaning of a word as it appears in a reading text. To the School, They will be given a chance to have a program for students with a poor Reading Comprehension to improve their reading skills. To the Parents, They can find out their child’s problems about that matter and they can also help their child. To the Teacher, They can improve their way of teaching and give them an idea to solve the Reading Comprehension problem.
IV. Statement of the Problem
This study aims to assess the Reading Comprehension skills in English among Grade 10 SPA Students in Mobo National High School. Specifically, this study aims to answer the following questions: 1. What program maybe proposed to promote regular Reading among Grade 10 SPA Students? 2. What is the level of Reading Comprehension skills in English of the respondents? 3. What are the effects and benefits of this study to the students?
