This Key Facts Document sets out the main details of the Scholarship, as at date of publication.

Application Process 1. Apply to study at University of Dundee and successfully receive an offer of study –
this can be conditional or unconditional.
2. Submit a 500 word personal statement and complete the application form via the
application form on our website (found at www.dundee.ac.uk/scholarships).

All eligible applications are reviewed by a panel of University of Dundee staff and
selection is based on fitting the profile of a GREAT Scholar, alignment with University
of Dundee values and quality of personal statement.

There is 1 award available for each country.

All applications will be reviewed after the deadline (Tuesday 31st May 2022,
23:59GMT) has passed. Outcomes will be communicated to applicants no later than
Thursday 30th June 2022.

Who is eligible? • Passport holder from either Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia or Sri Lanka.
• Have an offer to study a full time, on campus, postgraduate taught programme at
the University of Dundee, starting in September 2022.
• Have International Fee status, as verified by the University of Dundee
Award Information • The value of this scholarship is £10,000 and is awarded as a tuition fee waiver. It is
not paid directly to the applicant.
• The scholarship is for 1 year of study only. If the programme is a 2-year, full-time
programme, the award will be issued in the first year only.
• The award is offered on an unconditional basis.
Key Information • Applicants in receipt of the GREAT Scholarship cannot combine this with any other
scholarship.
• Applicants must only apply for the GREAT Scholarship 2022 for the country
applicable to them as we do not accept multiple applications for the same country.
If applicants are eligible to apply for more than one GREAT Scholarship on the basis
of dual nationality, they may do so, so long as they fulfil the eligibility criteria for
each country. Only one award will be made if successful.
• Applications made by applicants who have met their offer conditions and have
firmly accepted their offer to study at Dundee will be prioritised for shortlisting.
• All scholarship decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
• Feedback will only be provided to applicants who have passed the shortlisting
process. We will notify you in writing if your application has been shortlisted.
• All communication with the applicants will be via email, and to their
@dundee.ac.uk email address. We may also communicate with other email
addresses provided to us by the applicant during the application process.
• If an applicant chooses to defer their entry within the same academic year, we
may be able to defer the scholarship award. However, this may not apply if the

applicant chooses to defer to the following academic year. We will confirm with
all applicants who defer, the status of their scholarship.
• If an applicant has paid their tuition fees in full prior to being awarded a GREAT
Scholarship 2022, the value of the scholarship will be refunded to the applicant
after they have enrolled at the University of Dundee. Alternatively, this can be
transferred to the University accommodation account balance (if applicable).
• The University of Dundee will not back date any awards and all awards made will
be current and apply to the applicant in the current academic year. The University
of Dundee will not make awards to students who have already enrolled at the
University onto the programme of study.
