• Britney Jean Spears is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Often referred to as the "Princess of Pop", she is
credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s and early 2000s..
• She was born on December 2, 1981 (age 40 years) in McComb, Mississippi, United State, and raised in Kentwood,
Louisiana.
• 1993, she starred in The All-New Mickey Mouse Club at age 11, joining an ensemble of Mouseketeers that included
future pop stars, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
• At the age of 15, she made a demo tape that earned her a development deal with Jive Records.
• She began a highly successful career as a pop singer and performer with the release of the single "...Baby One More
Time" in 1998. The album hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts that same year and sold more than 25 million copies
worldwide.
• In 2000, she released her second album, Oops!… I Did It Again and it sold 1.3 million copies in its first week of
release, setting a record for first-week sales by a solo artist.

 What did you consider in choosing
the pop icon?

We chose Britney Spears because of her music. Her music has

a great impact on pop culture, her music is so uplifting. She is
known as “Princess of Pop” for she revived the teen pop, she
was credited for being one of the driving forces behind the
return of teen pop in the late ‘90s. We liked her consistency in
the industry of music, she is so passionate towards her career,
a goal-driven, inspiring and one of a kind pop icon.
 How did that pop icon influence/impact
each one of you in your group?
Britney Spears is the epitome of modern society's
achievement and accomplishment in the performing
arts. She is an example of a performer that has a huge
following because she inspires hope, love,
encouragement, and adoration in their fans. However, it
is crucial to highlight that her road to popularity was
not without tragedy and terrible moments, as the singer
has courted controversy and unfavorable attention on
numerous times. Therefore, I believe that nothing in life
is permanent. There will be ups and downs because we
all have our share of weal and woe in life.

By knowing Britney Spears’s life, I learned that fame and fortune do not guarantee
happiness. Even though she was famous and earned a lot of money, she still is not
happy and had breakdowns because of her problems. She had a rough
time,especially during her conservatorship but thankfully she was freed and the 13-
year arrangement that has legally stripped herfrom making her own personal and
financial decisions ended.She overcame everything thrown her way and from that, I
learned to fight because she is a survivor and we should also be like her.
 How did that pop icon
influence/impact each one of you
in your group?
Britney Spears has long been known for her hit songs. We can still vibe
and get excited whenever we hear her songs since in our elementary
and high school years, and up until now. She has not only entertained
me with her songs, but she has also inspired me with her life and story.
She really is manifestation of a pop icon as her life is not just about all
the fame and fortune but deep within her, she has struggled a lot. And
because of that, I can say that life is not just a matter of fun and all
good things. And though everything may fall apart, we can just go back
up and learn from our past mistakes in life.

I personally get influence by Britney Spears through her fashion.

Her taste in fashion is great that makes want to try. For some
reason, I want to change my outfits and styles – her fashion
taste exudes confidence.

Britney Spears became one of the most iconic pop artist in the whole world. She became
very influential as she started at a very young age. But what I admire most about her is
became the pop’s potential for reinvention. How she breaks her image from being a young
Disney star to a more mature image - breaking the usual image of the 90’s female pop
star.
