God?
Begin with prayer: “God, I ask you to speak to me through
your Word, the Bible. Speak to my heart to understand what
you want to say to me. Amen.”
Bible Study #1: How did we get into this relationship with God?
The following verses will help you understand what God says is now true of your
relationship with Him. After you read the verse, the question that follows will help you
notice what that verse says.

John 1

Yet to all who received Him [Jesus], to those who believed in His name, He gave the
right to become children of God.

Q – How does a person become a child of God?

You might think that you chose to believe in Jesus, much like choosing a car to buy or
choosing a political viewpoint. But the following shows God’s involvement in your
becoming a Christian.

God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
