Dear Sir/Madam,

By way of introduction, NewBeginnings Charitable Trust (NCT) is a registered multi-

projects ngo from Vijayawada, India.
NCT was established by professional social workers who carry years of field experience
with different target groups. We stand against eradication of poverty and gender equality,
primarily. We look at child development and eradication of poverty in terms of
empowerment of families and communities, to enable them to be self sufficient. To this
purpose, NCT involves providing income generating skills training to women, youth, and
the disabled, and finally engaging them with business which results in sustainable job
opportunities.

As we move on into today’s globalized world, the importance of education has become
multifold. A nation can only progress when its population is educated and aware. While the
literacy rate is on a high, the illiteracy rate is on a high as well. A 2015 UNESCO report
noted that India has 28.7 crore illiterate individuals, earning the spot of the country with
the largest number of adults who do not possess basic literary skills. Though progress has
been made, it has not been enough and lays out a wide scope of issues ranging from social,
political, cultural, and economic, to be challenged and met.

Education is a fundamental human right. NCT firmly believes that irrespective of one’s
initial socio-economic background, every child deserves the right to gain a respectable
education. Every child who receives an education, receives the power to change the world.
However, there still exist approximately 58 million young children who do not have access
to quality education. NCT has been fighting against the disallocation of resources amongst
the people by doing extensive work on educating, training, and enterprising women. We do
so in groups in 15 villages, and for now we have been successful in training women in six of
the villages. The struggle goes on.

As you are aware of India’s colonial history and disregard for the importance of education
in the more backward villages, and even urban cities: piqued by the gender related stigma,
many children miss out on receiving an education all together and are forced into manual
labor to avoid reaching extreme low levels of poverty.

To instill the importance of education, and help the ones who are lacking in resources to
reach their goal in receiving education, thereby ending the cycle of poverty, and
empowering themselves and people around them, NCT is introducing a bundle of “Gift an
Education” packages for students in the Vijayawada region. The gift bundles will include
various categories: gifting notebooks, textbooks, stationery and school supplies, backpacks,
and a training teachers package.

We request you to support us to bring change and be part of the empowerment process.
The education packages will be priced categorically, with the Notebook package costing
INR 8000, the Textbook package costing INR 15,000, the stationery and school supplies
package costing INR 12,000 and the training teachers package costing INR 50,000.
This grant will help children with the one thing everyone is entitled to as a basic human
right: the right to learn, the right to receive knowledge, and the right to be educated. By
being a part of this project, you are helping create an ecosystem of knowledge by helping
the ones in need: and as such you become the forerunners of change itself.

Kindly consider our request and help us to fulfill this project. We will disseminate
information on your support to us on various social media platforms, including email
marketing of your support to us to various stakeholders and the general public with
advertisements free of cost, in your own countries. We will sketch out a list of full
deliverables catered to your need.

Thanking you for considering our request.

We look forward to hearing back from you.
