Dear Mr. Collins:

Last month we contracted you to construct a section of a brick fence running the full length on the side
of my property. The fence looks fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier. Five days ago, we contracted you
to construct another section of the fence that will be joined together with a gate. Upon our inspection
we discovered the second fences foundation was set 4 inches lower than the other. The ticket number
of the first contract is #1234, the second number is #5678.

Due to the height difference in the two sections, one of the walls being higher than the other which will
cause issues when installing the gate. This also leads to the grout lines not lining up with each other,
creating and off-putting appearance. To resolve this issue I suggest the following,
 Cut the second layer of bricks 4 inches for a discount
 Dig out the foundation and relay it for no additional cost
 Dig out the foundation for no additional cost
