REFLECTION: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN

Every time my school head do her unannounced classroom observation, one of the
comment that she always tell me is that I could not get a hold of my learners, meaning I
didn’t do my classroom management well. Compare to my co-teacher, I admit that I am a bit
low in this area. This Guro 1 short course training opens my eyes the importance of
classroom management plan. It also help me assess which part of my management lacks .

Classroom Management is one factor that affects learning. It is an essential part of

any educational setting. In making my classroom management plan, I realized the importance
of planning and managing teaching learning process. Learners learned best if they have safe
and encouraging environment where each learner is heard, welcomed and respected.
There are significant insights about classroom I learned from crafting the plan and
feedbacks from my school principal:
o Create structure and achievable goals for learners. I have stablish a structure and
SMART goals for learners behavior and carrying out lessons in my class. With this,
learners will always know whether their behaviors and actions are in accordance with
the established structure in the classroom.

o Conducive learning environment makes learning process easier.

o Conviction on the implementation of this plan would do my job efficient and
convenient
o I, as a teacher and the facilitator of learner, I must be consistent in my rules and
remind them about the agreement made and be a role model in the desired behavior so
my learners will follow my deeds not my words
o Although, misbehavior may happen anytime but a teacher should be proactive to help
in maintaining a positive behavior.
o Class rules should be presented to parents and school officials.
o Never forget to celebrate learners’ achievement either big or small they should be
rewarded and recognized to motivate them to do their best.

I believe that this classroom management plan is a big help in achieving conducive
learning environment where my learners are safe and actively involved in learning process.
We may not have perfectly what we have designed but we can always make it as a
guide to new teaching strategies. I believe that we as teachers of the 21 st century are flexible
and resourceful in all times. It means that we can always innovate things in order to fit in the
teaching-learning trends.
