 1. After Successful Installation of Win Server 2016, Change Computer Name by Clicking Computer
Name.

 2. Click on Change TAB

 3. Enter Name of the Server In “Computer Name” Field.

4. Click “OK” button.

5. Click “Restart Now” Button. After That System will restart and take effect

 6. Now for making IP static Click on “IPv4 Address” front of Ethernet.

 7. Double click on Ethernet Adapter.

8. Click on ‘Properties” Button.

 9. Double Click on IPv4. And following Dialogue box will be appear.

10. Click on 2nd Radio Button and type IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and Preferred DNS
server IP’s and then Click “OK” Button.

 11. Adding AD Roles Click on “Add Roles and Features”

 12. Click “Next”.

 13. Select “Role-based or feature-Based Installation and click “Next”.

 14. Select Server from the pool and click “Next”.

 15. Select “Active Directory Domain Services”.

 16. Now Click “Add Features” Button.

 20. After successful installation Click “Close”.

 21. Configuring AD by promoting server to DC, click on “Add a new forest” Radio button and type
your Domain name in Root domain name field.

 22. Select Forest Functional level and type Password for DSRM and Enter password for the DSRM.
Leave everything default and then Click “Next”.

 24. Enter your NET BIOS Name and then Click “Next”.

 25. Specify location of the AD DS folder (Database, Logfiles, SYSVOl and then Click “Next”.

 27. After successful checking of prerequisites Click “Install”.
