Employee advisory – COVID -19

We are all aware of the current situation pertaining to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in the country. It is
important that we take all precautions to ensure that the spread of this virus is contained.

You are requested to follow the advisory:

Personal Hygiene

• Wash your hands with a soap (minimum 20 seconds of thorough washing between the fingers, under
the nails, back & front of hand recommended) multiple times in a day
• Avoid contact (as prescribed by “Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate
General of Health Services, E.M.R Division” given below) with people with possible visible symptoms
like sneezing, fever and coughing. Keep at safe distance from people who are coughing or sneezing (See
the definition of contact below)
• Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing at all times
• Avoid sharing phone, laptop, food, utensils, cups, towels or other such things with people with identified
symptoms.
• Avoid touching your face as far as possible and touch only after washing hands with soap

Work Place Management

• You are advised to wash your hands with soap and water just before entering the branch. Please request
advisors to wash hands just before entering branch
• In case any employee in the office complains of medical issues like fever, dry cough, severe acute
respiratory symptoms, difficulty in breathing, symptoms similar to pneumonia etc. please ensure they
leave office immediately and are quarantined (as prescribed by “Government of India, Ministry of Health
& Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services, E.M.R Division” given below) and report the
details to your Regional HR / State Head / Channel Head and to Victor Kandulna (email id:
victor.kandulna@iciciprulife.com contact no. 9836722777) immediately, without delay
• Prior scheduling face to face meeting with customers, kindly ask customers over phone, if,
anyone in his immediate family has travelled outside India and is he or anyone in his family
displaying symptoms such as fever, dry cough, running nose, breathing difficulties etc
• You are advised to maintain safe distance while interacting with customers in the branches
• Refrain from visiting high traffic events or locations like malls, theatres etc. in your personal time
• It is advisable to take your laptop and portable devices home in a daily basis in case a need arises to
work remotely
• No trainings or group meetings to be conducted across branches (more than 10 people)
• If your society or building has reported a confirmed case of COVID – 19, then stay back at home and
take necessary precautionary measures
• In- person interviews need to be stopped and to be conducted through telephone or VC only

Events and Meetings:

• Meetings, as far as possible, should be done through video conferences. Minimize or reschedule
meetings involving large number of people
• Avoid large gatherings of any kind including internal / external meetings or events (more than 10 people)

Travel Advisory

• Staff members are encouraged to use personal / private transport for customer calls, in case
visiting customers. Kindly, avoid public transport such as buses, transit rail system ( Metro, local
trains)
• All international and domestic travel should be avoided unless extremely critical. In case of doubt on
criticality, request them to please consult with your Business Head for advice
• In case you have returned from any international location in the last two weeks, you will be required to
work from home for 14 days. Please keep your Regional HR / Manager and Victor Kandulna (email id:
victor.kandulna@iciciprulife.com contact no. 9836722777) informed. Stay quarantine (as prescribed by
“Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services,
E.M.R Division” given below) and consult medical practitioner
• In case any of you, your team members or family members / friends have recently travelled outside of
India, you / your team member should work from home for 14 days and share details of the same to
Regional HR and to Victor Kandulna (email id: victor.kandulna@iciciprulife.com contact no.
9836722777) immediately

Visitor, Vendor & Partner Management

• Entry of visitors is to be limited across all the offices. In case unavoidable, visitors should to be
restricted to lobby and reception area only. Customers to be restricted to front desk
• Stamp for home quarantine (as prescribed by “Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare,
Directorate General of Health Services, E.M.R Division” given below) to be checked for all customers
and visitors and restrict anyone having the same

Definition of contact (as prescribed by “Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare,
Directorate General of Health Services, E.M.R Division”)

A contact is defined as a healthy person that has been in such association with an infected person or a
contaminated environment as to have exposed and is therefore at a higher risk of developing disease.

A contact in the context of COVID-19 is:

A person living in the same household as a COVID-19 case;


A person having bad direct physical contact with a COVID-19 case or his/her infectious secretions without
recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) or with a possible breach of PPE.
A person who was in a closed environment or had face to face contact with a COVID-19 case at a distance
of within mere including air travel.
