UNMARRIED VISA REQUIREMENTS:

• UK Visa & Immigration aims to process 95% of UK Unmarried Partner visa applications within
12 weeks.

The standard application fee depends on whether you’ll be in the UK for:


• up to 3 years - £232 per person
• more than 3 years - £464 per person

Eligibility Requirements:

4. PSA Birth Certificate- for age confirmation since the UKVI’s requirement age is more than 18
years old (except child).
5. Hospital Badge-ID

7. Vignette- Stamp on the passport or also known as Entry Clearance (passport still).
8. Invitation Letter

PROOF OF ACCOMODATION:
1. Tenancy agreement
2. Certificate of No objection from the Landlord
3. Certificate of No objection from flat mates (if ever you intend to live in a flat shared with
others).
4. Utility bills under your name while you are staying in the UK (if possible, with the address
which are normally stated on the bill itself. This should not be an issue.)

FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:
1. 6 MONTH’S PAYSLIP
2. 3 months bank statement. This should highlight your income or salary. If you have a part time
job and it is also reflected in your bank account, please make sure that is legal. I have a part
time job and the account says SALARY and it is legal. Regardless of all these, please make sure
to highlight your income ONLY. Not the summary of your bills and shopping etc.
3. BANK STATEMENT:
• Include: Money of 1,270 GBP UNTOUCHED FOR 90 DAYS OR 3 MONTHS.
• 285-695 GBP for dependents. Some cases, 1500 GBP to show that they can support
themselves.
• Maintenance Letter
• RATED A SPONSORS: There is no need for you to provide evidence of 965 GBP. Make sure
that there is a tick or Y in your COS to say that the NHS or the Company will provide the
maintenance funds for you.
Example calculation :

You - or your partner or child - would need to have £600 to bring your partner and one child with you to
the UK (£285 for your partner and £315 for your child).
You would also need to have £1,270 available to support yourself for your own application.

Financial evidence mainly depends from one person to person. Some will provide more than what is required
to ensure the approval of the application.

The documents provided must be originals and should be spread over the whole 2 years; they should
also be from at least 3 different sources. Examples of what documentation the applicant could
provide are listed below:
• Joint commitments

joint bank accounts- bank statement stating your name and your partner
Mortgage: Documents stating that the property is conjugal (between you and your partner).

Ownership: Land or parcel of property. Documents stating that the property is conjugal (between you
and your partner).

• Investments or rent agreements that shows 24 months of cohabitation such as contract


signed by the landlord and the couple
• Birth certificates or records of any children of the relationship, showing both partners as
parents
• Any official correspondence linking both partners to the same address: utility bills stating the
address of partners.
• Letters from parents that is giving permission for the couple to live together
• Letters from friends to testify that they are couple provided that the testimonials have no
inconsistencies.
• Any other evidence that adequately demonstrates the couple’s long-term commitment to
each other

What if there are compelling and compassionate circumstances?


• Where there are compelling compassionate circumstances : the relationship may be less than 2
years’ duration.

ANSWER: An appropriate pro-forma and full supporting details should accompany such referrals.
Request this from the Home office.

Periods apart for up to six months would be acceptable for good reasons, such as work
commitments, or looking after a relative as long as:

• it was not possible for the other partner to accompany; and


• the applicant can show evidence that the relationship continued throughout that period, for
example, by visits, letters, logged phone calls.
