MATHS
Q1. Prepare a PPT on five modern monuments of India and find the mathematical concept in its
architecture.

Q2. Do the following activities in the practical file:

Activity 1) Construct a square root spiral.
Activity 2) Draw the coordinates and mirror image of a geometrical figure.

A. PROJECT WORK
ART INTEGRATION
(i) A Mandala is a Sanskrit word for ‘circle’ is a geometric design that holds a great deal of
symbolism in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. Mandalas are believed to represent different aspects
of the universe and are used as instruments of meditation and symbols of prayer. In their most
basic form mandalas are circles contained within a square and arranged into sections that are all
organized around a single, central point.

To understand Mandala Art, its meaning, use of circles, polygons, lines and symmetry bring out the
artist in you and draw a beautiful Mandala art on an A3 size sheet using only compass and ruler.
Make a short video also (1-2 minutes) to explain the mathematical association in it.
 Do any one:

SCIENCE
Activity 1:
“Half the interest of a garden is the constant exercise of the imagination” ~Mrs. C.W. Earle
The method of growing food has advanced. Many new techniques have developed which not only
fulfill the requirement of food but also take care of issues like soil erosion, wastage of water, etc.
Well, let’s explore one such farming technique known as HYDROPHONIC AGRICULTURE
which is easy and cost effective. Let’s explore, research, experiment and draw conclusion on the
given point of study for the same.
 Process involved
 Science included in it
 Benefits
 Grow coriander leaves using this technique
 Conclusion

Activity2: According to NASA Earthy Observatory, the Antarctic ozone hole reached its maximum
area for the year on October 7, 2021, and ranks as the 13th largest since 1979. Scientists
have reported that 2021’s ozone hole developed similarly to 2020’s: A colder than usual
Southern Hemisphere winter led to a deep and larger-than-average ozone hole that will
likely persist into November or December.Let’s find out the cause, consequences and
methods to protect OZONE LAYER DEPLETION and prepare a brief write-up on it.

Activity 3: Find the velocity of a toy car and plot a graph for your observation. Also, calculate
average velocity of it. Write your observation and paste a photograph of your activity.
You can follow the link below for more information: https://youtu.be/SxlgLBRxBXQ

Activity 4: Draw the diagram and write about the functions of:
(a) Mitochondria – Roll No. 1 to 20
(b) Chloroplast – Roll No. 21 onwards
NOTE:
1. Complete all the above mentioned activities on a A4 sized sheet. Be creative and innovative.
2. Attach these sheets in well decorated folder.

Activity 5:
CHEMISTRY
1. Learn and write symbols and valency of the cations and anions (Table 3.6)
2. Learn and write symbols and valency of the elements from 1 to 18.

5
3. Write the following practicals in your chemistry practical file given in your lab manual:
 Experiment No. 1: To study the melting point of ice.
 Experiment No. 2: To study the boiling point of water.

PHYSICS
Frame three questions each, on the topic of calculation of average speed, average velocity and
acceleration. (Do it in Physics notebook)
BIOLOGY
Write the following practicals in your biology practical file given in your lab manual:
 Experiment No. 1: Prepare a temporary slide of onion peel.
 Experiment No. 2: Prepare a temporary slide of human cheek cell.

SOCIAL STUDIES
1. Select any one of the following non- democratic country in the world at present and write about
