Our world has more than one billion Catholics with the ever-growing population, It will only
get larger in number. Catholic religion is based on a central figure which is Jesus, who teaches
them how to live in manner according to the ultimate creator: God. This international religious
organization is the largest religious organization in the world with approximately 1.3 billion
baptized Catholics. As the world’s oldest and largest continuously functioning international
institution, it has played a prominent role in the history and development of western
civilization. The church is headed by the bishop of Rome, known as pope. Its central
administration is the Holy See. During the millennial period, the roman catholic church
dominated the European world and some Asian countries like Philippines, it influences the
aspects of culture and day-to-day life of their bearer. Catholic organization also played an
important role in preserving and disseminating scriptures and classic literature, scientific and
philosophical treatises and historical accounts. Aside from the historical contribution, this
international religious organization has future plans for their stability and for the good of our
society. Some of this are the development of their parish, continually uses their church to bring
back and recruit more followers to Christ, Increasing support for women in church leadership
roles and to spread love and the word of god all over the world.
