Corporate Social Responsibility

Socially responsible companies increase both their brand value and profits. Everyone has

issues they care about. These companies appeal to these issues and thus win customer loyalty.

Toms’ corporate social responsibility models include something called one for one. This

means that each time someone buys a shoe, the company donates one pair to someone in need

As of April 2021, Toms gave away 95 million pairs of shoes. They also support other issues such

as delivering clear water, social justice, and even sight restoration services.

The Body Shop has a corporate social responsibility protocol as well. The only use

natural ingredients from around the world that are ethically sourced. Most of their products are

also refillable, as part of their dedication to limit waste. The most impressive thing is that they

boycott issues like using sperm whale oil in products or just the hunt and capture of sperm

whales.

SNHU Pet Supply says their workers love pets. It what makes it appeal for people to

confide in them. There are millions of pets abandoned by their owners. There are millions of pets

treated badly by their owner. SNHU could offer services to match abandoned animals with

owner. They meet lots of different kind and responsible owners. They could ask people to sign

up to foster or adopt. They can create alliances with local shelters. When a dog gets dropped off,

they can be immediately matched to a new owner. To make life just a bit easier for the new mom

and dad, they could offer 1 months’ worth of pet supplies, or the initial items that are needed

such as food and water bowls, leash and potty bags, bed, and kennel. Showing that they care

would increase the brand value. Especially with current customers. People care about pets. In

2021, Americans spent $109.6 billion dollars on their pets. This shows how valued they are in

our society. It is better to buy from a company that helps the cause. They will support it and

recommended which will ultimately result in higher profits for SNHU Pet Supply.
