SWORN STATEMENT OF Witness , MALE, 50 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, SITIO

KABANATIAN ,BARANGAY TUMANIG, ARAKAN COTABATO. ANSWER TO THE

QUESTIONS PROPOUNDED BY PO2 MERLAN MAE PELAEZ, INVESTIGATOR-ON-CASE
OF ARAKAN MUNICIPAL POLICE STATION AT ABOUT 9:00 O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING
OF FEBRUARY 29, 2000. THE STATEMENT WAS TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH.

PRELIMINARY

You are here in the office of Arakan Municipal Police Station, Investigation section. I
am PO2 MERLAND MAE PELAEZ, Investigator-On-Case. I am here to ask some questions
to you.

1. QUESTIONS: Are you willing to give your free and voluntary statement?

ANSWER : Yes, Maam..

2. Q. - Please state your name and other personal circumstances.

– I am Afredo Abag 50 yrs old married , Sitio kabanatian , Brgy tumanding , Arakan ,
Cotabato
3. Q- Why are you here at the Office of Arakan Municipal Police Station?

A. - I am here at your office to give my statement

4. Q- When and where did you meet the suspect

A. on my way home bringing some “Taiwan” fish to sell when I met the appellant at
a shortcut road passable only to people and animals. I noticed that appellant had
scratches on his face and his hand was holding a lagaraw (bolo) with blood on it.
Appellant asked for the price of the fish but he did not buy and just left. From what I
had observed, appellant was restless and uneasy

5. . Q – At the mean time I have nothing to ask from you. Do you have anything or
something to add or retract from your statement?
A - For the meantime, no more Maam.
