Mock Interview Reflection

Directions: Review the Mock Interview Critique Form completed by your teacher. Use the
results to reflect on your experience by answering the questions below.

1. What steps did you take to prepare for the mock interview?
I prepared myself to be in a comfortable environment. I also practiced concentrating. In
addition, I reviewed all the practiced questions to make sure I could answer them well.

2. How did you feel while you were being interviewed?


I felt confident and at ease. I also felt comfortable. I was well prepared, so I was not anxious.

3. Reflect on your actual responses. Did you feel your responses were adequate or could you
have done better? Explain.
I feel like I did a good job on many of the questions. I think I could do better by better preparing
myself to respond to some questions by being able to expand on my thoughts more.

4.What questions do you feel you answered well? Explain.


I felt like I answered most of them well. Many of the questions asked were about personal
experiences that I have had or what I enjoy doing.

5. What questions do you feel you could have answered better? How would you have answered
them differently?
I think I could have answered the question about my weaknesses better. I would have answered
it to showcase my strengths.

6.What areas did your teacher mark as strengths?


My teacher said that my strengths were talking about my personal experiences. She also said I
did well with discussing my previous job and the skills required.

7.What areas did your teacher mark as needing improvement? In what ways do you plan to
improve your performance in these areas?
She said I should work on not using filler words. She also said I could slow down when I am
speaking.
