REITERATION OF THE DEPED TASK FORCE COVID-19 MEMORANDA ON IATF VACCINATION

This office reiterates the DepEd Task Force COVID-19 Memoranda re: DFTC Memo.
575 IATF vaccination Requirement for Personnel reporting On Site Beginning 01
December 2021, DFTC Memo 586 Clarification on DFTC Memorandum 575 and
DFTC Memo 587 re Reiteration of the Required Health Standards, Vaccination, and
On Site Work Requirements. These memoranda are consistent to IATF Resolution
148-8 which requires all establishment and employers in the public and private
sector to require their eligible employees who are task to do on-site work to be
vaccinated against COVID-19 effective December 1, 2021.
2. On January 20, 2022, the office of the Secretary issued its official statement in
adherence to the IATF resolution 1488 and 149 s 2021 stating that the Department
of Education reiterates the policy of requiring employees who work on site
including teaching and non-teaching personnel involved in the face to face classes
and in school activities to be vaccinated and is being implemented as a way of
preventing the spread of COVID-19 in schools and DepEd offices to protect the
learners, clients and employees to the extent possible.
3. Pursuant to these directives from the Central Offices the following guidelines are
hereby reiterated for adherence and compliance.

. With the significant increase of COVID-19 cases and considering that Surigao del
Norte is now under Alert Level 3, all personnel in schools and offices are advised to
strictly observe the required health standards. The required health standards,
vaccination and the early detection and management of cases are proven effective
in preventing further transmission of virus.
. As stated in DFTC memo 575, the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational
Development (BHROD) is requested to provide guidance on how to handle
attendance records of personnel who cannot report on site due to failure to comply
with the vaccination/ RTPCR requirement. (Mark as absent, charging to existing
leave credits)
