ACTIVITY #2 Directions: Answer the following questions:

1. The old saying that the human person is composed of three parts – soul, body and clothes – is more than a joke.
According to William James, why should you take care of your clothes?

 The core of the material self is the body. Associated with the body are clothes, family, home, and Material
possessions. Everyone pays attention to his/her clothes for his/her clothes reveal who he/she is. Clothes reflect a
person’s status. Clothes contribute to the formation and maintenance of self-image.

2. The clothes you wear is one way to express who you are. Do you agree? Support your answer.
 Yes I do agree, but some doesn't. The reason is that you should Always remember whatever you wear should
reflect the real you. Your dressing sense reflects your personality, character, mood, style and what actually you
are as an individual.

3. A person generally shows a different side of himself/herself to different groups.

To illustrate:

- A young teenager who is well behaved before her parents and teachers, acts wild with his ‘tough’ young friends.

 He should behave well wherever he may be.

- An army officer treats his wife and his children tenderly but is stern to the soldiers or prisoners under his command.

 If the person's position is the standard but no if the standard is the work duty and pledge must especially the
human' s dignity.
