In recent years, NIKE/Adidas Shanghai have donated $1000000 worth of sports facilities to local
communities in the city, which promote physical exercises among local residents/push local
residents to do more physical exercises. From my perspective, though such kind of charitable act
could cost companies a certain amount of money, they have the responsibility to benefit local
communities with such approach/method.

It is true that purchasing sports facilities of such for communities could cost a lot of money. One
simple example can be that to build a standard tennis court could easily cost approximately 120
thousands RMB. Such a number is not small for companies of any scale and especially for small
scale/micro-businesses, it could even be a tremendous financial burden. Therefore, if every single
company has to cover/pay such a bill, some businesses may not be able to afford that. In that case,
their businesses could go down or even close down. This is why some people tend to hold
concerns/worries against the proposal/claim.

(1) Despite the fact that sports facilities can cost too much for a company to afford, (2) they do
not necessarily have to pay that much to support their communities and (3) companies, big or
small, can provide sports facilities that they can afford to help communities in various ways.
Because it is an enjoyable and effective way to improve physical and mental health. One
 example can be that the construction of sports facilities can provide citizens with more
opportunities to exercise, which would be helpful for them in relieving stress levels and
preventing the development of chronic diseases such as heart disease. In comparison, people
may pass up opportunities for exercise due to crowding because of lack of implementation.
Therefore, it would bring positive effects to create a healthy community environment.
In conclusion, businesses would invest in the purchase of sports facilities. Nonetheless, I still
believe that it could be helpful for people in keeping health and create healthy communities.
