Nowadays, there is more concern about how the classes are divided in accordance with the skill
levels of students. Some contend that students with similar skill levels are supposed to be included
in the same class for the sake of time efficiency while others oppose. Personally, though this kind
of strategy may benefit students timewise, the diversity of the class including students with
various levels would contribute more.
Admittedly, including students with similar levels might enable them to make more
improvements with less time. As students in such classes basically hold the same levels, teachers
can arrange their teaching schedule that suit almost every student in the class, thus saving lots of
time that might be wasted on inappropriate arrangements. For instance, assuming a class including
students with uneven levels, the advantaged students may complain that the teachers repeating
what they have already digested while the crippled ones fail to keep up with the teacher. Ergo,
including students sharing same levels may allow them study with high time efficiency.
Albeit such strategy may facilitate students to learn efficiently, I argue that it undermines the
diversity of classes. Students with different skill levels think in different ways while students on
the same skill level don’t, hence the diverse methods and ideas could enlighten both higher level
and ordinary students. One simple example is that ordinary students can learn from higher level
students and cooperate with them to solve problems in more professional ways, meanwhile the
advantaged students may simplify their method, avoiding complicating the issue. If students with
similar levels are included in the same classes, chances are that the methods even their opinions
are monotonous. The diversity of students is indispensable thus classes should include students
with various levels.
Sufficed to say, including same level students in classes may save time. Nonetheless the time
efficiency is not necessarily the premise of the students’ development. Only if students learn from
diversities can they make more improvements.

The listening challenged the accountability of the 3 reasons mentioned in the reading why
asteroid is the best colonization option.
To start with, the lecturer disputed that the low gravity of the asteroid leads to certain risks. He
pointed out that colonists would suffer from health problems such as losing muscle mass and the
bone density becoming lower. He emphasized that astronauts spending a few months in space
would suffer these problems thus longer time for colonists would cause more serious damage.
Ergo, the listening contradicts the advantage of low gravity.
In addition, the listening questioned the view that the rare metals of the asteroid would bring
enormous profit. The professor pointed out that the high cost to mine these precious metals and to
transport them would reduce the profits. Meanwhile, he argues that the price of these metals will
not remain the same as the large quantity of the metal would increase supply thus leading to the
decrease of market price. The listening disapproved the high profit the rare metals bring.
Finally, the listening reputed that the asteroid is easy to reach. The lecturer mentioned that
asteroid will travel through the space and its orbit is unusual. Though we can send aircrafts to
asteroid when it is close to earth, it will travel a long distance and stay even farther than the Mars,
presenting a tough challenge for the colonists to get back from asteroid. Therefore, the listening
denied that the asteroid is easy to reach.
