Wire Rope Reeving & De-Reeving Procedure

The document provides instructions for de-reeving wire ropes from a cradle hoist system. The safety wire rope is de-reeved first by pulling it from the wire winder drum and hoist. For slacked wire ropes, the slack rope lever must be engaged. Next, the suspension wire ropes are automatically de-reeved by turning the cradle power on, pressing bypass, and lowering. The suspension wires are then disconnected and fully removed.

under tension whilst landed to the ground floor to kept the slack rope safety
devices of the hoists from engaging to the wire ropes. This will make the de-
reeving process easier and faster.
- The de-reeving of wire ropes will start from the safety wire rope. It is the wire
rope that doesn’t pass the slack rope lever as shown.

cradle is not attached to any carrying unit and its wire ropes are slacked, the
slack rope lever must be pushed to keep it in its upright position to keep the slack
rope safety device from engaging to the safety wire rope.
