Summer Experience

For this task on summer, you must make an oral presentation presenting your ideas about
summer. You must record an audio WITH video of yourself (voiced over PPT, Canva etc..
and be ready to explain and answer questions about your presentation in class.

You may give your personal view about summer as well to offer suggestions or recommendations.
Your presentation should include pictures/images to help make your presentation more attractive and
easier to follow. What you like about summer…what you don´t like about summer etc..

This is not a presentation about what you did.

You must speak for approximately 2 minutes (in your recorded presentation) and be ready to answer
questions from your teacher. You will also have to write your ideas in your notebook to show your
preparation.

Indicator 4: Speaks using grammar and vocabulary appropriately in context Level


Student used excellent vocabulary (including expressions)/grammar in full sentences. No vocabulary nor grammatical AD
errors were observed in presentation. Student spoke for approximately 2 minutes.
Student used good vocabulary (including expressions)/grammar in full sentences. Very few vocabulary or grammatical A
errors were observed in presentation. Student may or may not have spoken for approximately 2 minutes
Student used vocabulary/ grammar that was generally understood, but limited to the basics with several errors made. B
Student may or may not have spoken for 2 minutes.
Student made significant grammatical and vocabulary errors that interfered with communication. Student may or may not C
have spoken for 2 minutes.

Indicator 5: Speaks using correct pronunciation and intonation. Level


Student spoke with comprehensible pronunciation and without hesitation using speech patterns, intonation, and phrasing. AD
Spoke clearly and did not mispronounce any words. Volume was loud enough to be heard throughout the entire
presentation. Student spoke for 2 minutes.
Student spoke with comprehensible pronunciation. Student may have self-corrected and showed little hesitation. Speech A
patterns, intonation and phrasing used were at grade level. Spoke clearly and distinctly all of the time, may have
mispronounced some words. Volume was loud enough to be heard throughout most of the entire presentation. Student
may or may not have spoken for 2 minutes.
Student may not have spoken with grade level comprehensible pronunciation and may have demonstrated excessive B
hesitation. Speech patterns, intonation and phrasing may not have been at grade level. Student may or may not have
spoken clearly and distinctly all of the time, and may have mispronounced too many words interfering with
comprehension. Volume may or may not have been loud enough to be heard throughout the entire presentation. Student
may or may not have spoken for 2 minutes.
Student did not speak with grade level comprehensible pronunciation and may have demonstrated excessive hesitation. C
Speech patterns, intonation and phrasing were not at grade level. Student did not speak clearly and distinctly all of the
time, and mispronounced too many words interfering with comprehension. Volume may or may not have been loud
enough to be heard throughout the entire presentation. Student may or may not have spoken for 2 minutes.
