This is in connection to your letter dated 25 May 2022, seeking for the
recommendation, approval of the Senate Bill 2449/House Bill No. 10658 or an
“Act Strengthening on Anti-Trafficking in Persons xxx”.
Please be informed that the representatives of the Commission has
actively participated during the Technical Working Group meetings regarding
the said bill. We have already raised our concerns, clarifications, comments
and recommendations and we have noticed that they have been considered.
This Commission believes that the proposed amendments would help the
government in curbing cases of trafficking in persons in the country. Hence, we
interpose no objection on the passage of this Bill, and we support its immediate
approval.
