Directions: Describe your potential opportunity cost given the listed decisions you

have made:

1. Spending 2 hours in watching movies/series.

In this scenario, spending 2 hours I watching movies/series is quite too much. For
me, it is not bad to spend time for yourself but in this world we have to make a wise
decision wherein we should consider the loss of potential gain from other things when
we choose another one alternative. This scenario involves time and resources. The
possible opportunity costs take advantage of time that can possibly be use in a more
productive and important activity such as doing school works, household chores,
taking a rest, reading story books, studying to enhance knowledge, spending time with
relatives and so on.

2. Spending P600 for a buffet lunch with friends.

In this scenario, spending P600 for a buffet with friends costs a lot. The possible
opportunity cost here is that rather than spending 600 pesos we should’ve spent it on
more important matter/things, it could be in fancy/cheaper restaurant, donate it on
community pantry, invest savings, feed the hungry people on the street/ squatter area
and mostly, it can also be use to allocate for more important expense such as
additional payment for bills. It is important to remember that choosing wisely is a
must especially in the midst of pandemic, any amount of money should be appreciated
and be conserved at all cost.

3. Going on a month vacation in your mother’s hometown

In this scenario, going on a month vacation is too much, this also involves time and
resources. Probably, it will cost too much expenses for foods, transportation and son
on. Instead of a month vacation, unwinding just in a week is good enough to go all
over on my mother’s hometown. The possible opportunity costs are utilizing that time
in any other next important thing/activity such as applying for a summer job,
community volunteering, spending time on studies. Also, by this we can save other
expenses and allocate time to a more productive and important matter.
