1. Name three characteristics that increased the calculated value of your data and
explain why you think those characteristics are of interest to marketers.
I discovered my characteristics that in the consumer section, the searched online or
visited websites, looking to buy any products, and looking to buy smartphone have
increased the value of my data because they can use my data to become a potential
customer to a third-party vendor.

2. As an experiment, go through the calculator again as the future-you (whom you think
you’ll be in ten years). Name three of the characteristics that made the biggest
difference in the value of your data.
The three of the characteristics that made the biggest difference in the value of my data
in ten years are asthma in health conditions, being a millionaire, and owning a home.
Having an asthma is the most impactful with $0.26 increased value of my data.

3. Why do you think a marketer would be interested in someone with those

characteristics?
I think a customer having those characteristics like being a millionaire and owning a
home is valuable to companies, so marketers are targeting at them to use their data and
what their interests.

4. What do you think is the risk of such data leakage?

Potential customers with a risk of much data from third party vendors can sell your
information to the other third party so that they can track your lifestyle. Your private
information from other companies can be targeted from the hackers so that they can
use your data with malicious activities.
