WHAT IS MEDIUM?

Simply put, Medium is a blogging platform.

Basically you sign up, you write and you get paid.

Obviously there are a lot of tips and tricks you can use to
make more money from it.

Both paid directly from Medium, and paid through

promoting your products and services, or your affiliate links
for other people's products and services.

Medium takes aways all the time sucking tasks of running a

blog. You have no hosting, no themes, no plugins, no
updates or crashes to wortty about.

It's a turnkey, better yet, a Minimalist approach to blogging.

4 STEPS TO GET STARTED

Follow these 4 steps, and you can start earning money

quickly on Medium.

Step 1 - Sign Up For Medium

You don't even need to become a paying member to start
writing and earning on Medium.

Step 2 - Setup Your Profile

It's really simple, choose your display name, bio, logo/profile
picture. You can choose from a few other simple options.

Step 3 - Write An Story

Short or long, it doesn't matter, just write your first story and
get it out there.

Step 4 - Grow Your Following

This is key, as you need a minimum 100 followers to get in
the Medium Partner Program to get paid.

HOW TO LEVEL UP!

It not as hard as you may think, here are the 4 things I did to
level up on Medium. They helped me grow my followers to
over 1,000 and my income in the process as well.

1. I Got Help

I bought a course and joined a community that was aimed

at making money on Medium called Publish & Profit

2. I Became a Medium Member

I’m not talking about signing up for Medium, I’m talking

about becoming a paid subscriber, it’s $5 a month or $50 a
year, but it will pay for itself.

3. I Published Stories

This is obvious, you need to write, I wrote a lot, specifically in

November as we had a 30 day challenge, and while that
definitely helped get me followers, I did it more to increase
my earnings, which worked incredibly well.

4. I Got Involved

This is what really exploded my follower growth, and most

everything else (hightlights, claps, views, etc).

I read, highlight, clap, and discuss with stories and follow

other members.

I try and focus on paid (green circle) members for obvious

reasons, but I also love building relationships so I’ll also
engage with non paying members if it’s about a topic I enjoy.

How much engagement should you do?

That’s up to you, but it’s simple math, the more you do, the
more you get.

I normally aim to read (clap, highlight, comment and follow

included) a story I’m interested at least once or twice a day,
sometimes I’ll do even more if I can.
