Youth Committee on Cooperatives Terms of Reference In these terms of reference, ‘a, “NCUI means National Cooperative Union of India, New Delhi b. “President” means the President of National Cooperative Union of India c. “Committee” means the youth committee on cooperatives 1s decided by the General Body of NCUI in its meeting held on 24.09.2021, the President, NCULhas constituted a Youth Committee on Cooperatives “to promote the inclusion of Youth in the mainstream of the Cooperative Organisations” The committee's aim is a. To strengthen and encourage better cooperation through exchange of visits, knowledge, ideas, experiences and activities among youth in cooperatives b. To prepare the youth cooperators to be successful leaders of tomorrow To encourage the youth of the country to join/form cooperatives. To give advice, help and representation to the Indian cooperative youth movernent. fe. To formulate & implement strategies to promote the youth cooperatives in the country {To work with cooperatives across the country to help them develop strategies to promote youth employment - to give young people better jobs, and to make sure that cooperatives employ them, keep them in work, and give them the chance to progress. g. To improve legal and administrative requirements for cooperatives, ensuring better working conditions, education and training and access to social protection and rights at work. fh. To provide suggestions to NCUI in formulating the National Cooperative Policy in the areas related to inclusion of youth in the mainstream of the cooperative organizations, i. To connect youth by creating spaces for discussion and training j. To help young cooperators from different parts of the country connect, share experiences and ideas; k. To provide an environment where young cooperators can learn more about the wider cooperative movement; To involve young people from outside the movement through education and support; Committee meetings 4, The Committee shall meet at least once a year and at such other times as the chairman of the Committee shall requireResolutions 5, Resolutions of the committee shall be passed by a majority of votes which can also be passed by way of unanimous written resolutions. Minutes of meetings 6, The member secretary of the committee shall minute the proceedings and resolutions of all committee meetings. Minutes of committee meetings shall, after being signed by the member secretary and the chairman, be circulated promptly within a reasonable time after the meetings to all members of the Committee. Remuneration 3. Members will not be remunerated for activities undertaken in their capacity as members of the Committee. 9, NCUI will reimburse the members of the committee only for any travel and other incidental expenses that are incurred in relation to the participation in Committee meetings.
