PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Real-Time Face Mask Detection Aug 2021 - Dec 2021

Team Size: 3 Members

Objective: To detect anyone not wearing a face mask in real-time.

Description: The proposed approach in this project uses deep learning, TensorFlow, Keras,
and OpenCV to detect face masks. This model can be used for safety purposes since it is very
resource-efficient to deploy. The SSDMNV2 approach uses Single Shot Multi-box Detector
as a face detector and MobilenetV2 architecture as a framework for the classifier, which is
very lightweight and can even be used in embedded devices (like NVIDIA Jetson Nano,
Raspberry pi) to perform real-time mask detection. Achieved an accuracy of 99% through
vigorous training.

Individual Role: Performed primary and secondary research on the currently available face
mask detection systems. Gathered necessary datasets from different sources like Kaggle,
google images etc. to train and test the model. Developed the Machine learning model and ran
several tests to improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of the model.

INTERNSHIP

Title: Cybersecurity Virtual Internship Program.

Company: SAP(Forage).
Duration: Oct 2021- Nov 2021.
Overview: Understood the importance of Encryption and the usage of keys in cybersecurity.
Learnt methods in which the system can be protected from cyber attacks and phishing. Was
involved in the process of strengthening a system through various security measures.
