Thank you for purchasing HUS-D4-E-Pro Four Channels High

Definition Network Video Process Server, hereinafter referred to
as “HUS-D4-E-Pro”.
This manual will guide you through installing, configuring and
operating HUS-D4-E-Pro.

Introduction
2 Introduction
Overview
Designed for personal computer, HUS-D4-E-Pro is the video

decoder which can be connected to 4 monitors and supports
various types of encoders, IP cameras and DVR videos in different
formats.
HUS-D4-E-Pro can be used in HUS system (HUS IP Video
Solution). The operation of HUS-D4-E-Pro in HUS system is
similar to that of other decoders.
Structure of HUS system is shown in the following figure.

Hot plugging monitors is not supported. Shut

down the decoder before connecting or detaching
the connector of the monitor.
Installing Instructions
Connecting External Power

Please use the 110-240V AC power.
Mounting HUS-D4-E-Pro
With 2U/4U chassis, HUS-D4-E-Pro can be mounted in standard
cabinet.
Products with this label should only be used

safely in areas with an altitude of 2000 meters or
below.
Network Connecting
HUS-D4-E-Pros can be connected to LAN and WAN. Make sure

that the bandwidth is wide enough when connecting to network
(it is recommended to connect the video device through Gigabit
Ethernet switch). A switch (not a hub) is recommended when
setting up an LAN. Long-distance wiring should be avoided.
Please select right bandwidth when connecting them to WAN.
Make the wire in terms of specifications for

category 5 cable.

Power Up and Operations
• “Windows Firewall” must be turned off.
• “Windows Update” service must be stopped.
After powering up, the following window is displayed.

If there is video displaying while decoder is turned

off, the decoder would continue to display the real-
time video after restarting.
Right click on the window of the HUS-D4-E-Pro and the following

menu is displayed.

Access “My Computer”, “Control Panel” and “Task Manager” from

the “Common Tools”; configure, shutdown, restart or close HUS-
D4-Pro; play views, playback videos and video slices from HUS
Client.

Login
Enter the IP address and port number (if the IP address is

159.99.251.9, then input http:// 159.99.251.9:8080) of HUS-D4-
E-Pro in the Internet Explorer address bar (Internet Explorer 8.0,
Internet Explorer 9.0; Internet Explorer 10.0, Internet Explorer
11.0. Internet Explorer 11.0 is recommended). The login page of
the decoder is displayed (see Figure 4-1).

Enter User Name and Password. Click Login to enter into the
decoder setting page (Figure 4-2). Click Exit (see Figure 4-2) to
return to the Login page.
For the first login, use the default User Name

“admin” and password “123”.

HUS-D4-E-Pro Settings
HUS-D4-E-Pro settings include “System Configuration”, “Basic

Configuration” and “User Management”.
System Configuration
System Configuration displays “Status”, “Network Setting” and
“Date/ Time”.
Status
“Status” includes Network Status, Version Info and Log Records.

Network Status: Display MAC address, IP address, Subnet Mask

and Default Gateway. The last three options can be configured in
Network Setting (see Figure 4-3).
Version Info: Display version information.
Log Records: Display all the operations and alarm records.
Network Settings
There are two network connecting methods: Static IP and DHCP.

Static IP: Select “Link Type: Static IP”. Enter IP address, Subnet
Mask and Default Gateway manually and then click Update. If the
IP address is configured successfully, login page would be
displayed automatically. If the new IP address is not on the same
network segment with the network client computer, the network
client computer should be configured to the new network
segment in order to access to the decoder.
DHCP: Select “Link Type: DHCP” and click Update, the system will
assign a new IP address to the decoder automatically. A message
would pop up to inform the user to log in again after successful
setting.
Make sure that DHCP server is available before

choosing DHCP mode.
Date/Time
To set date and time, select System configurationDate/Time.

Set the Date/Time Manually: Enter time and date manually and
click Save.
Sync with the clock server:
Enter the IP address of the clock server and interval. “Interval”
indicates the time interval for checking the date and time
synchronization and the unit is “second”.
User Management
“User Management” page contains detailed information of users.
User List
To add, delete, edit or search the user’s information, select User
Management  User List.

Input user name and click Search. User’s information is

displayed after searching.

Add New User

To add new user, click Add.

User Name: Enter the name of the new account. Only Chinese
characters, English letters and number can be input. Length of
User Name should not be longer than 14.
Password: Enter the password. Length of password should not be
longer than 14.
Password Again: Enter the password again.
Click OK to confirm; Click Reset to input again; Click Cancel to
retreat.
Delete
To delete a user, choose the account to be deleted (see Figure
4-5 ) and click Delete.
The account “admin” cannot be deleted.
Edit User
Click Edit (see Figure 4-5) and the following window is displayed.

Old Password: Enter the old password
New Password: Enter a new password
Password Again: Enter the new password again
Click OK to confirm; Click Reset to input again; Click Cancel to
retreat.

5 HUS Data Management Center
HUS-D4-E-Pro Configuration
Before operating the HUS-D4-E-Pro in HUS Client, configure it in

HUS Data Management Center. Perform the following tasks:
• Adding device (see page 19).
• Adding the decoder to device view (see page 22).
Login
Enter the IP address of HUS Data Management Center in the
Internet Explorer address bar (for example, http://
192.168.0.1/Hussite). Login page is displayed.

Enter user name and password. Click Login and the following
figure is displayed.

For the first login, please use the default Login

Name “admin” and password “11111111”.

Adding Device
Click Device Management and the following window is displayed.

Select “IP Video Front End Devices” from the device tree and the
following window is displayed.

Device type: Choose “HUS-D4” from the drop-down list

Device Name: Enter the device name
HUS EC Service: Select the EC Service
IP Address: Enter the IP address of the decoder
Port: Input the port number of the decoder (by default: 5700)
Username: Enter the user name
Password: Enter the password
Monitor1 (2, 3, 4): Choose Megapixel (Max 1 Channel), DI (Max 4
Channels) or CIF (Max 16 Channels)

Click NEXT to create the decoder channel and the following

window is displayed.

Device name: Enter the device name

HUS-EC Service: Select the EC Service
Monitor: Enter the Monitor number (integer 1 to 4)
Channel: Enter the channel number
Switch ID: Enter the Switch ID of the current channel
Click Finish to complete the configuration (see Figure 5-7).

Adding Sublevel Devices (Davy series)
Davy series devices should be added to the decoder

as the sublevel devices before video can be played
on the TV wall of the decoder.
Perform the following steps to add the Davy series devices to the
decoder.
Click the decoder name under the device tree:

Adding the Decoder to Device View

Decoder should be added to the “device view” of a role before the
user with that role can view the decoder in HUS Client.
Click Role Management and the following window is displayed.

Click the role name from the left pane (for example, admin), and

Choose a device group from the “Existing Device Group”, for

example “Group 1” (it can also create a root device group from the
“device group” pane on the left side) and the following window is
displayed (the device group name would move to the middle pane
automatically).

To add the decoder, select Add Device  Device Tree  IP Video

Front End Devices  HUS-D4 Decoder (the decoder added
previously) and then click Add to add the decoder to device view
(see the following figure).

The decoder added would be viewed in HUS Client (see Figure

6-1) after the above settings.

6 HUS Client
Before operating the decoder in HUS Client, make

sure that the EC service of HUS-VMS which
connects to the HUS Client and the HUS-D4-E-Pro
is started.
Log in HUS Client. In the “Devices” list, it displays all decoders

that have been added, as shown in the following figure.

For detailed HUS-D4-Pro operations in HUS Client, such as

views (video, map and alarm list), switching views, TV-Wall
patrol, switching window layouts and etc., refer to the
instructions in “HUS-Honeywell Total IP Security Solution HUS

HUS-D4-E-Pro supports video playback and PTZ control with

UltraKey Lite keyboard (this chapter takes HJC-5000 keyboard
for example). Refer to “Keyboard Console” in “HUS-Honeywell
Total IP Security Solution HUS Client User Guide”.

If the border of the window is blue, the window is in live video
mode. If the border of the window is yellow, the window is in
playback mode.
Live Video Control
The following operations are only applicable in live video mode:

Video Playback Control

To hide or show the timeline, press . The timeline is

shown at the bottom of the window.

Playing the Recorded Video

Perform the following steps to play the recorded video:
1. Press “ Switch ID (Decoder)  Switch ID
(Camera)  ” to assign the recorded video of the

specified camera to the specified window.
2. Press the right arrow key of the touch pad and ring to start
playing the recorded video.
Setting the Time Range

• Rotate the joystick clockwise to select a larger time range.

• Rotate the joystick counterclockwise to select a smaller time

range.
The current time range is shown on the left side of the timeline.
Switching between the Video Servers
Press to switch the video server to DVR or NVR. The

current video server is highlighted.
Selecting the Video Clip

The blue segment on the timeline indicates the recorded video.
Perform one of the following operations to select the recorded
video:
• Move the joystick left or right to change the time on the
timeline. Press the right arrow key of the touch pad and ring
to play the video from the specified time. If there is no
recorded video at that time, the video recorded later than that
time is played.
To return to the current time, press .
• To play the next video clip, press the forward key of the touch
pad and ring. To play the previous video clip, press the
backward key of the touch pad and ring.
Playing, Reversing and Pausing

• To play or pause the video, press the right arrow key of the
touch pad and ring.
• To play the video backwards or pause, press the left arrow key
of the touch pad and ring.

frame by frame) and playing (frame by frame)
functions:
HD3MDIPX, IOImage, HD-16DVR-D v2.0 or above,
HVR-9000, HSD series, Pioneer series, VENTI
series, HD series, HVAE-0100, HVAE-0400, HICC-
3100T, HCD5WIH-AP, HCD5WIHX-AP, HD3MWIH-
AP, HD3MWIHX-AP, Super HD, AniraX, Fisheye,
Phoenix and Hera.
Playing and Reversing Frame by Frame

• To play the video frame by frame, rotate your finger on the
touch pad in a clockwise motion.
• To play the video backwards frame by frame, rotate your

finger on the touch pad in a counterclockwise motion.
Adjusting the Playback Speed

2 系统简介
概述
HUS-D4-Pro 是基于个人计算机的视频处理服务器，可以同时连接 4
台显示器，支持多种型号的编码器、IP 摄像机和数字录像机的不同
格式视频。
HUS-D4-Pro 可以在 HUS 系统（霍尼韦尔数字安防集成平台）中应

用。在 HUS 系统中使用 HUS-D4-Pro 时与使用其它解码器类似。

安装注意事项
外部电源连接
请使用 110-240V 的交流电源。
安装
采用 2U/4U 机箱，可安装在标准机架上。
如果产品上贴有该标识，表明该产品仅适用于海拔
2000 米及以下地区安全使用。
网络连接
HUS-D4-Pro 提供了标准的 RJ45 接口，并且自带 TCP/IP 协议，可

以连入局域网或者广域网。进行网络连接时应保证足够的带宽（建议
通过千兆以太网交换机与视频设备连接）。组建局域网的过程中，请

采用交换机而不推荐使用集线器，避免过长的布线距离。连接入广域
网时请选择合适的宽带。
请按照五类线标准制作网线。
启动和操作
• 必须关闭防火墙。
• 必须停止“Windows Update”服务。
安装完毕后，按下电源开关（见图 3-1）启动，出现如下界面：

如果上一次退出时，正在播放视频，重新启动后，
HUS-D4-Pro 将继续播放实时视频。
在 HUS-D4-Pro 播放窗口右键点击，显示菜单，如下图：

可直接打开常用系统工具，如“我的电脑”、“控制面板”和“任务管理
器”；可对 HUS-D4-Pro 进行配置、关机、重启和关闭操作；可播放
HUS 客户端的视图、同步回放和历史视频切片等。

登录
在 Internet Explorer 浏览器（Internet Explorer 8.0， Internet

Explorer 9.0，Internet Explorer 10.0，Internet Explorer 11.0 建议
使用 Internet Explorer 11.0）地址栏中输入 HUS-D4-Pro 的 IP 地
址和端口号（若 HUS-D4-Pro 的 IP 地址为：159.99.251.9，则输入
http:// 159.99.251.9:8080），即可进入 HUS-D4-Pro 网络客户端
的登录界面，如下图。

在“用户名”和“密码”栏中分别输入用户名和对应的密码后，点击【登
录】可进入 HUS-D4-Pro 功能属性配置页面，如图 4-2。在页面右
上角点击【退出】（见图 4-2），可返回登录界面。

“123”。
功能属性配置
HUS-D4-Pro 功能属性配置页面包括“系统配置”和“用户管理”。
系统配置
系统配置包括“状态”、“网络设置”和“时间/日期”设置。
状态
状态页面显示 HUS-D4-Pro 的网络状态、版本信息与日志。

网络状态：包括 HUS-D4-Pro 的 MAC 地址、IP 地址、子网掩码和

网关，后三项可在系统配置的网络设置页面中配置（图 4-3）。
版本信息：显示版本信息。
日志：记录所有设备用户对该 HUS-D4-
Pro 进行过的配置更改及报警信息。

网络设置
在网络设置页面可配置 HUS-D4-Pro 的网络属性，包括静态 IP 和

DHCP 两种连接类型：

静态 IP：选择“连接类型：静态 IP”复选框，输入 IP 地址、子网掩码

和网关后点击【修改】，可将 HUS-D4-Pro 配置为静态 IP 连接模
式。成功更改 HUS-D4-ProIP 后，页面将自动跳转到登录界面，重
新登录。如果修改后的 IP 与客户端本机不在同一网段，用户需修改
网络客户端本机的网络配置到新网段以便能访问 HUS-D4-Pro。
DHCP：选择“连接类型：DHCP”复选框后点击【修改】，可将
HUS-D4-Pro 配置为 DHCP 动态 IP 连接模式。修改成功后，将提示
用户重新登录。
使用 DHCP 模式前，请确认 DHCP 服务器已联入网
络。
日期/时间
在日期/时间页面可设置 HUS-D4-Pro 的日期与时间。

手动设置日期/时间：手动输入日期和时间。
与时钟服务器同步：选择“与时钟服务器同步”，输入与之同步的时钟
服务器的网址（或 IP 地址）和间隔。间隔为检查时间日期同步的间
隔，单位为秒。
点击【保存】，保存以上设置。
用户管理
用户管理页面显示用户列表的详细信息。
用户列表
在用户列表页面中可查看用户列表、搜索用户信息、添加新用户、删
除用户和编辑用户信息。

用户名：输入用户名，点击【搜索】，搜索完成后显示用户信息。
添加新用户：
点击【添加】（如图 4-5），在弹出的对话框中进行如下设置：

用户名：输入新用户帐号，只能输入中文、英文和数字，最多输入 1
4 个字符。
设定密码：输入密码，至多 14 个字符。
再次输入密码：再输入一遍密码。
单击【确定】，确认输入；单击【重置】，重新输入；单击【取消】
退出。

删除已有用户：
在图 4-5 所示页面中，勾选所要删除的用户名复选框，点击【删除】，
即可删除相应的用户。
admin 用户帐号为初始管理员用户帐号，不可删除。
编辑已有用户：
在图 4-5 所示页面中，选择所需编辑的用户，点击【编辑】，进行如
下设置。

在 HUS 数据管理中心配置 HUS-D4-Pro
在 HUS 客户端使用 HUS-D4-Pro 之前，需要在 HUS 数据管理中心

对 HUS-D4-Pro 进行如下设置：
添加解码器设备（见 59 页）。
将解码器添加到设备视图（见 62 页）。
登录
在 Internet Explorer 浏览器地址栏中输入 HUS 数据管理中心的 IP

地址（如：http:// 192.168.0.1/Hussite），即可进入 HUS 数据管
理中心的登录界面：

• 顺时针旋转摇杆，扩大时间轴显示的时间范围。
• 逆时针旋转摇杆，缩小时间轴显示的时间范围。
时间轴左侧显示当前的时间范围。
切换视频服务器
按，将视频服务器切换为 DVR 或 NVR。当前选择的视频服

务器高亮显示。
播放、倒放和暂停
• 按“触摸滑轮”的右箭头按键播放视频或暂停播放视频。
• 按“触摸滑轮”的左箭头按键倒放视频或暂停倒放视频。
