Note:
o Before uninstalling PIPESIM Python Toolkit, make sure to back up your personal Python code if
you put them under PIPESIM Python Toolkit deployment folders.
o The PIPESIM Python Toolkit uninstallation process may have several uninstall windows
showing up, including Enthought Canopy uninstallation window. Please DO NOT click the

you may have to clean up the system manually.
1. Use the Uninstall tool in the Windows Settings panel. See steps 1 through 4 in Uninstall
PIPESIM 2021.1.
2. Earlier versions of PIPESIM write entries to the registry, and some of this information is not
removed when the program is uninstalled. Occasionally, it may be necessary to edit the registry
by using regedit to delete keys in the following areas:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Schlumberger\PIPESIM
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Schlumberger\PIPESIM
3. If you encounter problems with Multiflash, you may also need to delete keys in the following
area:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Infochem\Multiflash
4. Occasionally, you may need to delete residual files from the installation folder after uninstalling
a previous PIPESIM version. By default, these can be found in one of these locations:
C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\PIPESIM\Programs
C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\PIPESIM201x.x\Programs
5. Occasionally, you may need to delete residual files manually from the following folders after
uninstalling PIPESIM Python Toolkit. Otherwise, the subsequent installation of Python Toolkit
may fail:
%LocalAppData%\Enthought
%AppData%\Enthought

License configuration
PIPESIM 2021.1 requires PIPESIM license for version 2021.1 or higher.
You must set up the license with Schlumberger License Server 2020.1 or newer. We recommend
using the latest version. The license server installer is available from the Schlumberger Software
Download Center. The same applies if the CodeMeter installation is needed.
Details on how to configure the license server are available in the Schlumberger Licensing user
guide in the Schlumberger Licensing installation directory. The default installation path is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensing\.
Note:
The licensing library shipped with PIPESIM 2021.1 contains an error making some combinations in
the SLBSLS_LICENSE_FILE environment variable invalid. An invalid combination will cause
PIPESIM to close with no further warning at startup or to stop when you try running a task.
Use of the application may fail if you define @localhost without any port number in combination with
one or more server licenses.
The workaround is to define the port number also for localhost, for example:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Schlumberger\PIPESIM\[VersionNumber]
