INTRODUCTION

Eac h mode l in the SD se rie s comes fully loaded with a whole host of spe cial-f eatures and effe cts, that
provide e verything you nee d to craft incred ible guitar tones for creating music on-stage or in the practice
room. The se tones can be stored within 40 pre se t slots and easily re called using the proprietar y wirele ss
footswitch.

SD amps have a unique JAM section that contains a whole suite of tools for solo performers and creative
aficionados alik e, such as an integrated looper, syncable drum machine and Bluetooth connection for
playback of your favourite audio tracks from an external device.

The combo amps curre ntly available in 3 0W att and 7 5W att ve rsions, house custom-b uilt guitar spe ak ers,
de signed to de liver rich harmonics and enhanced fe el with clarity, articulation and dynamics throughout
the amplifi ers full volume range.

40 preset slots to backup and recall your favourite tone settings. These can be easily recalled
using the proprietary wireless footswitch (incl. with SD75)

05 PR E A MP C ONTR OL S : Quickly dial in the tone of your preamp model. E ach of these parameters
are s tored per preset and the position of the knob does not represent the current parameter setting
when a preset is recalled. Turn any of these knobs to activate them. They will remain active until you
select a different preset, at which time it becomes inactive again.

01 POWER: Toggles power on/off to the amplifier

02 AC IN: Connect 3 pin grounded AC power cord

03 POWER FUSE: Contains the main power protection fuse and a backup replacement fuse.
If the amplifier cannot power on, inspect the protection fuse and replace if necessary.

04 AC VOLTAGE: Select correct setting for your current region. Please note that the correct
POWER FUSE must also be installed. DO NOT change this setting with a power cord
connected to your amplifier.

05 SPEAKER OUT: Connect to an external speaker with an impedance of 8Ω - 16Ω

06 EFFECTS LOOP : Easily integrate your favourite external effects by connecting them to
the effects loop

SEND – Effects send (preamp out) – Connect to the input of external effects

RETURN – Effects return (Power amp in) – Connect to the output of external effects

07 XLR OUT: Direct audio out with optional speaker cabinet simulation and ground lift
switch. For connection direct to PA or audio interface.

SELECTING PRESETS
S D30/S D75 have 40 presets in total. These are organised into 10 banks ( 0 ‒ 9) of 4 (A , B, C , D ).

JAM MODE
Your new SD amplifier is fully equipped with a 150 s econd looper and drum machine
which make fantastic tools for practice and solo performance. These features c an be found in
JA M M ODE .

W hen the wireless footswitch is c onnected to your shadow amp, the footswitches c an be
used exactly the s ame way as the PR E S E T buttons to control the looper and drum machine.

Press B + C on the PR E S E T buttons or on your wireless footswitch to enter/exit JA M M ODE

LOOPER

The looper in SD amps has 2 main operating modes. F R E E L OOP and BA R L OOP.

F R E E L OOP is exactly the s ame as our popular MIC R O L OOPE R . You can record and
overdub loops c ompletely free of any tempo constraints.

R E C OR D ‒ Press PR E S E T A to begin recording a loop


PL AY- Press PR E S E T A to stop recording and immediately playback the
loop you just recorded. If the loop playback has been stopped but the loop
has not been deleted, you can also use this button to begin playback.
DUB ‒ Press PR E S E T A during playback to toggle dub recording on/off and
add extra layers to your loop
STOP ‒ Press P R E S E T B to stop playback of your loop
DE L E TE ‒ Press and hold P R E S E T B to delete the loop currently in memory

BA R L OOP restricts the length of the master loop to a set number of bars, depicted by the
LOOPE R bar limit. This is useful because the drum will be in synchronization with your
loop and the count-in feature allows you to easily use the looper without the wireless
footswitch connected.

AUDIO PLAYBACK
S D amps have the ability to playback audio from your favourite external media device.
There are different ways to connect external devices with SD amps for music playback.

C onnect your external device to the AUX I N input using a 1/8”
TR S s tereo jack.
C ontrol the playback volume from your external device.
