hospitals)

• What:
- Allocation of P 7.92 Billion to healthcare workers and non-healthcare personnel
involved in the COVID-19 response.
- The Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
- The Department of Health (DOH)

• When:
- The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) claimed in a statement on
Thursday, February 17, 2022, that it had already released the P7.92 Billion alloted to
the Department of Health (DOH) for the distribution of the One Covid-19 Allowance
(OCA)
- According to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) statement,
healthcare workers who are considered to be at the high risk would get P 9,000 per
month, and those who are determined to be at moderate and low risk will receive P
6,000 and P 3,000 per month, accordingly.
- The Department of Health (DOH) announced that the provision of One Covid-19
Allowance (OCA) to healthcare workers (HCWs), will continue in 2022.

• Where:
The cascading of the One COVID-19 Allowance (OCA), is held at the Amphitheater
on February 23, 2022. The involved parties are from the Department of Budget and
Management and from the Department of Health.

• Why:
These frontline workers are working to the point of exhaustion, often with unsafe
numbers of patients, and at this time without sufficient PPE (personal protective
equipment), the stress of "what happens if we run out of ventilators?", and the risk of
contracting the disease when they are face-to-face with worst-case scenarios daily and
working short-staffed. The allocation of OCA is not just important in a city or
province; it is beneficial to our beloved country, the Philippines.

• How:

Treating COVID-19 is not just physical but emotional labor as well. Seeing the way
people attack them, misbehave, and badmouth them, it has become a matter of life
and death for these frontline warriors. It is undeniably a difficult job during
pandemics such as the current one. treat known positive cases. Even with protective
gear, the chances of exposure and getting infected are high. They have to keep
themselves safe and keep their family members safe too. This article informed
countless Filipinos of the news that the One Covid-19 Allowance (OCA) is being
given to both healthcare and non-healthcare personnel. Personally, I felt great about
the article after reading it. They are absolutely deserving of the One Covid-19
Allowance (OCA) because they are taking such a big risk. Furthermore, I believe that
COVID-19 should not lead someone to go into financial difficulty or be denied
medical care. Likewise, for any other purpose. The One Covid-19 Allowance (OCA)
is well-deserved by healthcare personnel. Since they're the first responders and have
to deal with people who are afflicted with the virus.
