GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION/APPEARING INGAT/GRE SUBJECT

TYPE TEST AND SUBMISSION OF ONLINE ADMISSION APPLICATIONS
TO POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS DURING THE
ACADEMIC SESSION, 2022-23

Candidates should carefully read the guidelines, before starting the registration for
GAT/GRE subject type test through on-line portal

Registration for GAT/GRE TEST through online portal:

1. GAT/GRE Test will be conducted according to the notified schedule only at Main Campus,
University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan.
2. The questions in paper for test of admission to M.Sc. (Hons.)/M.Phil./ MS and PhD shall
be from amongst the syllabus taught to the students.
A) Subject 65%
B) Verbal Reasoning 10%
C) Quantitative reasoning 10%
D) Analytical Reasoning 15%

Before selection of the subject make sure that your terminal degree (previous degree) is
available, the GAT test will arrange on the previous degrees of the candidates. However,
for Veterinary Sciences, the office of the Dean issued the streamline which is available on
university webpage in postgraduate admissions. After the selection of test subject once, no
candidate can be allowed to change the Subject. The detail of degree programs being offered
during the next session, 2022-23, minimum eligibility is available at UAF webpage.

The questions in paper for GRE subject test to PhD admission shall be from subject in
which the candidate seeks the admission.
A) Subject 65%
B) Verbal Reasoning 10%
C) Quantitative reasoning 10%
D) Analytical Reasoning 15%

For PhD degree programs, candidate must select the desired subject in which he/she seeks
admission. But the interview committee will interview the candidate for his/her suitability
for that subject along with deficiencies, Consent letter from the host scientist and proof for
funding.
3. Make sure don’t ask to the third party (Net Café, Friends, etc.) for online registration for
GAT/GRE test. Keep in hand before start to on-line registration portal, CNIC, Pic, and
terminal detail Marks Certificates (Provisional/DMC showing the Marks or CGPA).
i. use your own CNIC number on Registration form as it cannot be changed after
Registration. Please remember and save your personal username/email ID and
password for future use. It be noted that all correspondence and future
development towards your admission or trouble shooting if any shall be made with
the same username/email ID and password.
ii. read the instructions of GAT/GRE Test carefully and then fill up your personal
information. Be careful that correct information according to available documentary
evidence be filled up, as it cannot be changed after its online submission. Then print out
your Bank Challan. Deposit prescribed fee into the designated Bank(s) branch prior or
on the last date. You will personally be responsible for submission of any wrong
information/data.
iii. You are advised to apply for registration on the same date after depositing fee into the
bank. (Only bank voucher generated from online registration portal will be
acceptable).
4. After depositing dues, open your portal using, your Username/email ID and Password fill
up the GAT/GRE test registration form.
5. Select the previous degree and subject carefully, as it cannot be changed afterwards and
print your Roll No slip which have your roll number, time, date, selected test subject and
Block to appear in the test according to the schedule. The result of GAT/GRE entry test(s)
will be available on university website.
6. The detail of degree programs being offered during the academic session, 2022-23, and
minimum eligibility criteria of each is given separately on UAF website. However, the
University reserves the right to revise any of the eligibility criteria at any time without
assigning any reason.
7. The qualifying score for the MS/MPhil/MSc (Hons) and PhD will be 50 % and 70%,
respectively. After qualifying the GAT/GRE subject type Test, you are also required to
submit on-line admission application form according to the schedule notified in the
National Press and on University website. If you fail to submit the said form, you will not
be considered for admission in any case. While submitting said application form select the
degree program carefully according to your eligibility.
8. Your merit for MS/MPhil/MSc(Hons)/MBA will be determined on the basis of
data/information provided by you through on-line system i.e. The weightage to entry test
(GAT) and CGPA/marks obtained by the candidate shall be 65% and 35%, respectively.

1.1 All seats for morning program for Punjab domicile candidates. However,
Seats for the other provinces are available through nomination by the
respective provinces.
1.2 Candidate needs to submit semester dues on or before due date otherwise
his/her seat will be given to the next candidate falling on merit.

9. The PhD degree programs are offered on regular/full-time basis, therefore the employees
of the government/ other agencies nominated for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at this
University shall have to take leave to pursue studies as a regular student, failing which he/
she shall not be admitted. However, after getting admission by a nominee in the University,
it would be obligatory for the parent department to sanction the Study Leave or extension
in leave in favour of the nominee within one semester; otherwise, his/her admission shall
stand canceled.
10. Your admission will be purely on provisional basis, which will be subject to the
information/data/document provided/indicated in on-line form or submitted thereafter in
the University found BOGUS/TAMPERED/ FABRICATED etc. at any stage of studies,
the admission shall be cancelled retrospectively without assigning any reason and the
deposited fee shall not be refunded. The dues deposited will be refunded on submission of
proper application to the Treasurer’s office as per percentage and time limit given below:-

* in case where dues were deposited after commencement of classes, the next day from
depositing dues will be considered as date of convene of classes.
11. In case any:-
(i) candidate quits admission at his/her own under any circumstances, the deposited
dues shall not be refunded.
(ii) information/data/document provided/indicated in on-line form or submitted
thereafter in the University found BOGUS/TAMPERED/ FABRICATED etc.
at any stage of studies, the admission shall be cancelled retrospectively without
assigning any reason and the deposited fee shall not be refunded.
