Pharmacist: Well, the appearance of mouth ulcers is very common; there are several things
which can lead to mouth ulcers. Usually a mouth ulcer develops if you burn your mouth or
when you bite your tongue, cheek or lip; sometimes, they develop if you brush your teeth
too hard or if you use a very firm toothbrush, if you chew tobacco or if you are infected
with the herpes simplex virus.

Patient: Oh, I understand; but this will not be a serious problem, right?

Patient: Oh, ok - I feel relaxed now. But I have a habit of chewing tobacco; so, are you
saying that this could be the cause of my mouth ulcers?
Pharmacy Speaking Tests 6 - 10

Pharmacist: Well, it might be the cause of the ulcers then; I would also suggest that you
see the doctor - a doctor can assess your problem well and can prescribe something more
effective if necessary. If the ulcers are developed due to some common reasons, then those
ulcers will go away with the help of some suggested medicine; however, if there is any
other reason a more serious problem - then the treatment will take a different route.
