HITACHI QUALITY: HITACHI PERFORMANCE:

> Warranty approved service life of 4,000 hours*. > Outperforms conventional hydraulic oils in
every significant standard (see following data).
> The result of thousands of hours of laboratory
and field-testing. > Provides more performance and protection
than most synthetics.
> Factory-filled in all Hitachi machines.

and components (seals, hoses, pumps, etc.).
> Supported by Hitachi and the manufacturer’s
service engineers.

* The 4,000-hour service interval is “automatic” for all 80–60-metric-

ton machines as long as Hitachi oil is used 100%. For models
prior to the -5s and machines larger than 60-metric tons, the 4,000-
hour interval may be reached with used oil analysis and 100% use
of Hitachi oil.

Leading hydraulic oils were tested side-by-side in a severe pump test to learn how well they withstood high pressures, high
temperatures, and the resulting oxidation. Used oil samples were taken at 200 and 500 hours and compared to an oil sample
at the start of the test. Hitachi 46HN samples show much less color change, indicating much less oxidation.
