El actor entra con el material. Coloca un par de mesas que le sirvan de apoyo y la
carpeta grande de las sombras. Su silla, el teatro de sombras, y le pregunta a los profesores que
dónde puede enchufar el foco. Cuando lo tiene todo preparado, se presenta.

- Para llevarlos a silencio, hago el yogui.

Hello, good people. My name is Peter, and today i am here to tell you a story called
“Monsters Gathering”. Do you know what a monster is? Yeah. And do you know what
“gathering” means? To “gather”, is to put some people or things together. So is some kind of
reunion. A monster reunion. Monsters that get together... And this is interesting because this
is a story about people who don´t know how to live together. So, are you ready to hear this
story? Boys, girls, welcome to MONSTERS GATHERING. Teacher, please turn off the lights.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful land. In this land, there lived a lot of magical
creatures.​ Gnomes in the forest​... ​trolls in the cliffs​... ​mermaids in the sea​... (hago ruidos con
cada monstruo) and there was a very, very big creature. The most powerful of them all.​ The
dragon​! Everybody lived together without problems, until one day... monsters came. ​Humans!
The humans appeared in the land, and started cutting down the trees and destroying the rocks
to make houses, hunting animals from the sea, taking every resource from the mountains...
they made a very big city, called “Fearland”, and lived there, terrorizing everyone.

Everyone but the ​dragon​, of course. She was too powerful to care about other people.
This story started one morning, after she went around the kingdom taking the ingredients for
her breakfast, and went back to her cave.

(Se gira el foco para que deje de apuntar al teatro, y se empieza a cambiar el fondo del
reino por el de la cueva. Mientras se cambia, se puede seguir hablando)

Maybe you think caves are tiny ugly places. But a dragon cave is much better than you
imagine. Actually, it is more or less like your houses. With bedrooms, stairs, lights... a kitchen...
a table to eat, and a door to welcome visitors... if you want visitors, of course.

(Se termina de poner el fondo, y se gira el foco sobre el teatrillo de nuevo)

That morning, ​the dragon​ went inside her house. She was hungry, but happy.

Dragon -What a beautiful morning! I am so hungry and happy because i am going to

eat my favourite food... my super delicious hamburger with ketchup!

She was about to take the first bite when suddenly... (​the baby dragon appears)​

Baby Dragon​- MOOOOM! Good morning mom! I want to play! Do you want to play
with me? Play play play, play play play... oh! What’s that? A hamburguer! I am going to eat it...

Dragon -STOP!! That is my breakfast, son. You already had your breakfast. Now let me
eat, and we will play later, okey?
 Baby Dragon- Will we play later, mom?

Dragon- Yes. But you have to wait.

Baby Dragon- How long?

Dragon- Five minutes.

Baby Dragon- Okey! ...fiiiiive! Now!! Can we play? Can we play? Can we play?

Dragon- GO TO YOUR ROOM!! (el dragón bebé se va). Phew. Finally. Now i am alone
and i can enjoy my super delicious hamburger with ketchup.

(El actor gira el foco para que no apunte al teatrillo, y sale del teatrillo)

Okey! For this part, i need your help. Everytime you see me doing this (chasquea los
dedos), i need you to make the sound of knocking on the door. On the chairs or with your feet
on the floor. Three times. Let´s try it.

(​Prueba un par de veces el juego. Chasquea los dedos, y los niños golpean tres veces
como si se llamase a la puerta. Esto se repetirá cada vez que se llame a la puerta)

Very good! Now we can continue the story! (el actor vuelve tras el escenario). The
dragon was very hungry and about to take the first bite of her super delicious hamburger with
ketchup when suddenly... (saca la mano del teatrillo para que todos la vean y chasquea los
dedos) Knock, knock, knock!!

Dragon- What? Somebody is at the door? Ugh. But i don´t want to open. I am hungry,
and i want to have breakfast. ​(chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!)

Baby Dragon- Mom! Mom! Somebody is at the door!

Dragon- I don´t want to open, son. I want to eat my hamburguer.​ (chasquea: Knock,
knock, knock!!)

Baby Dragon- Don´t be rude, mom. I am going to open.

(​Sonido de crujir de la puerta al abrirse. El dragón bebé corre a su cuarto)

The baby dragon opened the door, and a magical creature came in. It was ​king Triton​,
king of mermans and mermaids, who live in the seas.

Triton -Hello, dragon, my friend, is this a good time to talk?

Dragon -Well, actually, no. I am busy. Bye bye.

Triton -But i have a problem! Please! Listen to me. It will only be a moment.

Dragon- Ugh. Alright. Tell me.

 Triton –Thank you. Listen. The humans are very very bad. They ​caught every fish​ in the
ocean, but not only to eat. Sometimes they do it just for fun. And not only that. They put the
garbage in the water​!! Banana peels, shoes, empty cans, papers...

Dragon- I am sorry. Bye bye.

Triton –Bye bye? No! I need your help! You are the strongest magical creature in
Fearland.

Dragon- But this is not my problem. I don´t want to help. I want to eat my hamburger.

Triton- Pleeease!! I can´t do this without you.

Dragon -And what do you want me to do?

Triton –I want you... to kill the humans!!!

(En este momento, el actor sale del teatrillo sin modificar la luz. El objetivo de este
momento es analizar lo que está pasando. ¿Qué acaba de decir el rey Tritón? ¿Que hay que
matar a los humanos? ¿Eso es bueno o es malo? Hay que explicar que si todos nos dedicamos a
atacarnos los unos a los otros, eso no está bien. Porque tenemos que VIVIR JUNTOS. La palabra
clave es “convivencia”, en inglés “learn how to live together”. S​ ACO UN VOLUNTARIO Y JUEGO
CON EL TEMA DE QUE ÉL ME PEGA, SO IF HE HITS ME AND THEN I HIT HIM…​ I​ GET REALLY
ANGRY AND I START FIGHTING EVERYONE​.​ IS THIS GOOD? NO…​ I​S TRITON GOOD OR BAD?
AND DRAGON?​ S​ HE’S SELFISH. ALL FOR ME.​ Reflexiones: “Entonces, ¿el rey Tritón es bueno?
No. Porque quiere matar a los humanos. Pero, ¿los humanos en esta historia son buenos? No.
¿Y la dragona? ¿Es buena? No. Porque ella no quiere ayudar a nadie. Es egoista”. Cuando estas
bases están asentadas, el actor vuelve tras el teatro y continúa)

Triton- I WANT YOU TO KILL THE HUMANS!!

Dragon -What? No! I am not going to kill anybody. Leave me alone.

Triton –Then what can i do?

Dragon- I don´t know! It’s not my problem! I am going to eat. Go away.

Baby dragon- MOOOM! It´s time! It´s time it´s time it´s time! Let´s play, let´s play, let´s
play!! OH! Hello, king Triton.

Triton –Hello, baby dragon.

Baby Dragon –Do you want to play with me?

Triton –I can´t. I am busy. I came here because i have a problem and i need help.

Baby Dragon –Oh! I will help you!

Dragon- Son! We are not going to help him.

Baby Dragon- MOM! Don´t be rude. What do you need, king Triton?
 Triton –I want to kill all the humans.

Baby Dragon- ...............................................killing is bad!! I am not helping you. You are

a bad person and a bully. Bye bye. (​el bebé le echa de la casa)​ MOM! Can we play already?

Dragon- No, son. I am going to eat my hamburger.

Baby Dragon –Another one!?

Dragon –It´s still the first one!! Leave me alone!! ​(el bebé dragón se va)

And when she was about to take the first bite of her super delicious hamburger with
ketchup, then... ​(chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!)

Dragon –No!! ​(Se asoma por la puerta. Chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!) (susurrando) I​
am super hungry. I am not opening the door. Maybe if i am silent and i don´t make a noise,
they will leave... ​(chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!)

Baby Dragon- MOOM!! Someone´s...

Dragon –SSSSSSSSSHT!!! (​whispering) ​I don´t want to open the door, so shut up!!

(chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!)

Baby Dragon- I am going to open the door!!

Dragon –NOOO!! (​el bebé dragón abre la puerta)

The baby dragon opened the door, and a second magical creature went inside the
cave. It was ​queen shadow.

Shadow -Hello, dragon, my friend, is this a good time to talk?

Dragon –No. I am busy.

Shadow –Good! I am going to tell you my problem. Listen. The humans are very bad.
They don´t like the dark at night. So they put on ​lots of light​. And because of that, they don´t
sleep. They also ​drink a lot of coffee​. And not only that. For fun, they even ​GIVE COFFEE TO
THE ANIMALS​! So they are very nervous!!! And you know what? I eat dreams!! And if they
animals and the humans don´t go to sleep, they don´t dream!! And if they don´t dream, i don´t
eat!! And if a don´t eat, I AM SUPER HUNGRY AND SUPER ANGRY!!

Dragon -I am super hungry and super angry too!!

Shadow- Good. Good!! We are both angry, so you can help me... killing all the humans!

Baby Dragon- MOOOM! It´s time to play! Time to... oh! Hello, queen Shadow!!

Shadow- Hello, little dragon.

Baby Dragon- Do you want to play with me?

 Shadow- Yes.

Baby Dragon- Great!! What do you want to play?

Shadow- A game called... KILL THE HUMANS!!

Baby Dragon: ........................................killing is bad, you are bad, bye bye.

(​El dragón cierra la puerta y se va)​

So, the Dragon was about to take the first bite to her...

Dragon- No. I am not a fool. I know that in the moment I go back to the table and try to
eat my super delicious hamburger with ketchup, someone is going to knock on the door.
(​Espera)​ No? (​Espera​) Are you sure? (​Espera)​ Good! So finally i can... ​(chasquea: Knock, knock,
knock!!) ​NO!! I AM NOT OPENING THE DOOR!! ​(chasquea: Knock, knock, knock!!) ​STOP THAT!!
GO AWAY!! (​se chasquean los dedos repetidas veces para que los chavales continúen
“golpeando la puerta” mientras ella les grita que se vayan. Entonces se hace el silencio, y
aparece, despacito, la cabeza del dragón bebé. Ella se gira y le grita: “NO!” y él se esconde.
Pero vuelve a aparecer, esta vez más cerca, debajo de la mesa. Ella vuelve a gritar, “NO!”, a lo
que el bebé se vuelve a esconder. Pero finalmente aparece junto a la puerta y la abre, ante el
desesperado grito de su madre: “Noooooo!!!!”. Entra el último monstruo.) J​ UGAR CON EL BEBE
INTENTANDO IR A LA PUERTA Y LA MADRE GRITÁNDOLE !!NOOO”!!! A LA TERCERA LA ABRE.

The last monster came. It was the ​skeleton.

Skeleton -Hello, dragon, my friend, How are you?

Dragon -Hi Queen Skeleton. I am hungry and angry. And you?

Skeleton –I am dead.

Dragon –Right. What do you want?

Skeleton -Listen. Humans are horrible. They kill fishes, they ​kill animals​, they ​kill a lot
of trees​!! ​To build doors, chairs, tables..​. they even kill each other constantly!! And, you know,
my house is the place where all the dead people come. The ghosts. Because of them, we have
too many ghosts​! I need your help…

Dragon -You want me to kill them, right?

Skeleton -What? No!

Dragon -No?

Skeleton –No! I just told you, i don´t want more dead people. I want you to help me
talk to them and explain them what they are doing.

Dragon –Why don´t you try talking with them?

 Skeleton –Look at me. I am a giant skeleton. They see a giant skeleton and they scream
“AAAAH!! A GIANT SKELETON IS GOING TO EAT ME!!”.

Dragon –I see... Okey! I will help you...

(Entonces aparece el rey Tritón)

Suddenly, the door opened, and king Triton came back.

Triton -Whaaat!? Are you going to help her!? And what about us??

Shadow- Yessssh! Help us toooooo!!

Dragon -No!!

Skeleton –Why not? Like you are helping me, we can help them. We are all friends.

Dragon –But what they want is to kill the humans!

Skeleton –Oh. They are bad with you too? Maybe we don´t need to kill them. Only,
scare them, bully them a little, and they will learn the lesson. ​(los otros dos insisten)

Dragon –Alright!! Go to the city, and i will see you there! Now leave me alone!!

(Se van los tres, y aparece el bebé dragón. Ella está muy enfadada)

Baby Dragon -MOOOM!! It´s time? Can we play?

Dragon –No, son. I can´t play. I don´t have time. I need to go.

Baby Dragon –Where?

Dragon –To the city of the humans.

Baby Dragon- Cool! Can i go with you?

Dragon –No, because i am going to scare the humans, and bully them.

Baby Dragon- What? No, mom! That´s bad! Bullying and scaring is bad!! Please don´t
be a bad person! Please please please please...!!

Dragon: SHUT UP!! I AM VERY HUNGRY AND VERY ANGRY, AND I DON´T CARE ABOUT
ANYTHING ELSE!! SO SHUT UP AND GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!

(El dragón se va volando llorando de manera muy cómica a su cuarto, y se quita el

espacio de la cueva. Se coloca la ciudad)

So, the four magical creatures went to the human city. It was the night already, so a lot
of them ​were sleeping​ ​(se coloca la cabaña con la mujer durmiendo)​. The first one was king
Triton. Humans had this thing called ​water well​ ​(se coloca el pozo)​. King Triton went to the
well, and put poison and salt in the water, so when they went to drink water...
 Triton- Do you like to put garbage in MY water? Let´s see how do you like garbage in
YOUR water.... hahaha!

Human​- I am so thirsty... ah... glug, glug.. Coff, coff. Oh, no. This water... ugh...
something is wrong... coff, coff, agh, i think i need a doctor.... ugh... doctoooor!!

The second one was Queen Shadow. She was so hungry, she went inside the house to
eat peoples dreams. But Queen Shadow doesn´t like any kind of dreams... she loves
NIGHTMARES!!! So she started whispering bad things to people, so they had nightmares.

Shadow Queen- Your football team is the worst... hahahaha... you are ugly...

Sleeping human- Uhhh.... uh.... no..... buuuhhhuhuhu....

Shadow- Nightmares are delicious!! Niam, niam, niam!!!

And the last one was Skeleton. Tired of having too many dead people in her house, she
decided to go to the cemetery and... wake up the dead people, as ​zombies​!!

Scared human- AAAAH!! ZOMBIES!!! HEEEEELP!!! I DON´T WANT TO DIE!!

And the dragon... well... she didn´t want problems, she only wanted to fly around
spitting fire and go back to her super delicious hamburger with ketchup...

Dragon- (con desgana) Aaaarh... i am so bad... grrr.... i am hungry.... rraaaah...

But... nobody saw Queen Shadow, King Triton or the Skeleton. Only the dragon.

Human​ -Look!! It’s the horrible dragon who lives in the mountain!! She is the one
poisoning the water, giving us nightmares and waking up zombies!!

Another human -Everything is her fault!

Another Human- We need to kill the dragon!! ​(todos corean)

(Se quita el pozo, la cabaña y a los zombies. Queda solo la dragona)

Dragon –What? No! I didn´t want problems! And now they want to kill me!! You have
to help me!!

Triton- (​aparece)​ What? You said you didn´t care for my problems. You were selfish. So
now, i am going to be selfish too. It’s not my problem. I am busy. Bye, bye. ​(se va)

Dragon- What! No! That´s unfair!! You must help me!!

Shadow- ​(aparece) W ​ hat´s the problem? You are powerful. You can kill them if you
want. So it’s okey. Hihihihihih.... bye bye!! ​(se va)

Dragon- Friends!! Don´t go!! Queen Skeleton!! You are a good person... monster...
skeleton... thing!! Help me, please!!
 Skeleton- ​(aparece) ​And do what? I told you, i can´t speak with the humans. But you
said you can speak with them, right? Explain them everything, it will be alright. ​(se va)

(La dragona se queda sola y en silencio. Entonces aparece el bebé dragón).

Baby Dragon- Mom. I told you. Scaring people and bullying people is bad. You were a
bad person.

Dragon –Yes. You are right.

Baby Dragon- It´s okey. Everybody makes mistakes. But now... you have to say “sorry”
and apologize with everybody!!

Dragon- Yes. But later. Now i am going to eat my super delicious hamburger with
ketchup.
