Arguments against: (Oliver) 

We heard you talking about doctors that work in the same hospital but have different
functions. We get that a surgeon gets paid more than the assistant. However, that is not
what we are talking about. We are talking about men and women with the same functions.
In some functions, men and women do the same job and give the same effort, but the man
gets paid more. Just because it is a man. We don’t say this happens everywhere, but it is still
going on! 
Actually, there is The Equal Pay Act. This is a law that requires that men and women in the
same workplace be given equal pay for equal work. And all forms of pay are covered by this
law. So when you work in the same class, you need to get the same amount of money. 
An example of non-equal payment is in sports. In football, men’s football gets paid way more
than women’s football. But they are both playing in the top class, and they all have the
skills. The jobs need not be identical, but they must be equal.
