JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
OF
POLICE CORPORAL KAREN MARIZ B. MANA

This Judicial Affidavit of KAREN MARIZ B. MANA, the Police Officer

who conducted the rape investigation, is executed to serve as a testimony to the
instant case.
This Judicial Affidavit was taken at the office of Atty. Kim Tagorda at # 12
Dr. Su Drive, Nasipit, Talamban, Vigan City, Questions were propounded by the
same and the examination was conducted in English and Filipino, the languages
that were used and understood by the Affiant.
Affiant answered each question fully conscious that she did so under oath
and may face criminal liability for false testimony and perjury.
Q1: Please state your name, age, address and other personal circumstances for the
record.
A1: I am Police Corporal Karen Mariz B. Mana, 23 years of legal age, single and
currently residing at #45 Rizal Street, Brgy. III, Vigan City.
Q2: Why are you here now? 
A2 – To give a sworn statement by way of a judicial affidavit, the same to
constitute as my direct testimony, in the above-captioned criminal case.
Q3 – Do you undertake to answer the questions to be asked of you, fully conscious
that you will do so under oath, and that you may face criminal liability for false
testimony or perjury? 
A3 -Yes.
Q4 – Let us now proceed to the Complaint. Do you know the petitioners of this
case?
A4 – Yes. I met them when they reported the crime ate the Police Station.
Q5 - Do you personally know the defendant in this case, Macho Guapito?
A5 – No.
Q6: From which station did you receive the information about the crime which
took place on the night of February 05, 2020?
A6: I was at Vigan Police Station, Sir, and the nearest police station in
Municipality of Consolacion.
Q7: Were you at the station when you receive the report about the rape happened
in Brgy. Pagpandayan, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur?
A7: Yes, sir. I was at the Police Station when the minor victim and her mother
reported about the rape that had happened in Brgy. Pagpandayan, Vigan City,
Ilocos Sur.
Q8: What was the report of the minor victim and her mother?
A8- The mother of the victim reported the crime committed by Macho Guapito
against her minor daughter.
Q9- What was the allegations of the victim?
A9: The minor victim alleged that due to road repairs, they decided to take a
shortcut by walking through the fields bordered by a banana plantation. While they
were walking, they decided to play a game of tag. BBB runs away and the minor
victim chase her. AAA then took a short rest and then heard someone coming, who
turned out to be Macho Guapito. Macho Guapito approached AAA and he saw
that she was disheveled. He then approached AAA. He made her stand up and
brought her under a mango tree. AAA thought that he would help her mend her
sprain but she was caught aback when Macho Guapito was already removing her
top shirt. AAA resisted but her frail body was no match for Macho Guapito who
was able to lay her down on banana leaves, removed her top, pulled down her
panty, and consummated his lust by inserting his penis inside her vagina. AAA
resisted by trying to push him away but to no avail. She tried to shout but her
mouth was covered by Macho Guaptio. When he finished, he left in a hurry,
leaving behind the AAA, banana leaves, and his facemask. AAA saw Macho
Guapito run away.

I, KIM R. TAGORDA, Prosecutor III, of legal age, detailed PPO-Vigan

City, do hereby certify that:
I propounded questions to KAREN MARIZ B. MANA and faithfully
recorded or caused to be recorded the questions I asked and the corresponding
answers that KAREN MARIZ B. MANA gave, as above stated.
Neither I nor any other person then present or assisting him coached him
regarding his answers and which testimony is being offered to prove: that he was
the Women’s Desk Police Officer on duty on February 6, 2022.
