Describe the
features it would have. How about Lima? Do you think it is alive?
Why? How? Tell us about any other city you know or have heard/read
about that could be described as alive.
Also, I think it is very important that people are very friendly and respectful.
Additionally, that the city is not polluted with garbage or excessive car
sounds.
About lima, I consider that it is a city alive but not one hundred percent
because it has benefits such as being very central, there is transport all day,
the airport is close, there are many places to visit such as the beach,
museums; Lima is a very varied city and at night you can find parties
anywhere, cultural activities and more but it also has disadvantages such as
increasing spaces natural resources, take better care of tourist places,
improve citizen security, reduce pollution and not all people are very friendly
and respectful.
I consider that Europe is the continent with the most alive cities that I have
visited.
One of them is Barcelona, it is a very diverse and alive city that mixes
nature with urbanization, so it has many tourist places such as Sagrada
Familia, Park Guell, as well as natural places such as Barceloneta beach,
Costa Brava, and more.
About Optimism.
In my opinion, being optimistic is an attitude of a person who see the
positive side of things or believes that things will turn out well in a given
situation.
They even believe they have the ability to make things go well throughout
life.
Optimism can affect positively and negatively our lives for example in a
positive way such as helping us to be more sociable since we have more
confidence in ourselves, be more persistent in our personal goals or
objectives, have less stress in complicated situations because you trust in
your potential but also have a focus negative some people are excessively
optimistic as they are denying or minimizing other emotions when situations
are not as expected.
3. How reliable do you think information found on the internet is? What
criteria do you apply to choose what information to use from the
internet? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using internet
as a source of information?
About internet
I consider that the information found on the internet is not one hundred
percent reliable. Currently, the internet is full of good information such as
news, scientific articles, educational videos, and others. But also, it´s full of
fake news like misleading email advertising that we regularly know as spam,
web pages with malicious content, to viral news from social networks and
portals with information copied over and over again.
The methods that I use to obtain reliable information from the Internet are:
where is this information published? who published it and when? that the
information has good spelling and quote the sources of information. Some of
the websites where you can find reliable information are BBC NEWS,
Google Scholar, The New York Times, Harvard University articles and more.
Also, you can share your own research with people from all over the world,
read information in real time and allow more options for learning. But at the
same time it also has disadvantages such as incorrect data or sources that
are wrong. So we have to worry about finding information that is really
reliable, being exposed to inappropriate content, threat of viruses and many
more.
About Peru,
I have had the privilege of traveling to many cities in Peru, so I can say Peru
has a wide variety of natural features such as rivers, lakes, snow-capped
mountains, Inca ruins, many animals, and plants.
A month ago I read in a magazine about Mexico and the Mayan Rivera I
was very amazed at this place. It has a variety of nature such as beaches
such as Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Mayan ruins such as Chinche Itza, Yal
Ku lagoon, but the most incredible are the famous cenotes, which are deep
water wells, which are fed by the filtration of the rain and by river currents. It
also has a diversity of animals and plants, there is a variety of fish, dolphins
and the Mesoamerican reef. I would love to visit the Rivera Maya.
5. Do you like the sea? What kinds of feelings does the sea inspire in
you? What scares people about the sea? What makes people love it?
Are stories connected with the sea romantic, thrilling, scary? Why?
I love the sea, I can go in any season of the year since it generates many
feelings such as tranquility and happiness that allows me to recharge my
strength and energy. I can sit watching the sea and feel relaxed.
I think people are scared of the sea for different reasons such as the
strength of its waves, the high tide, the depth, and the animals that live in it.
Besides, the sea is immense so some people can be anxious about the
natural disasters it can cause such as tsunamis, underwater volcanoes, and
others.
The sea is loved for many reasons such as the tranquility it provides by the
sound of the waves that stimulates a meditative state, the feeling of
relaxation allows us to create new things, analyze decisions, plan personal
goals, and inspires adventure.
I consider that the stories connected with the sea are very varied
For example, It can be thrilling by the adventures that can be experienced
there such as sailing, cruising, diving and more. Scary because they remind
us of natural disasters such as tsunamis, maritime accidents or drowning on
the beach. And romantic because it can remind us of a moment, a special
trip with someone we love.
