3.) “ A man is what his Human Acts make him .”
We're born programmed to seek pleasure and avoid pain. We spend
our lives acting in order to fulfill our every desire. These actions, in
general, seem right to us, because they make us feel good. However,
today’s world is a reflection of actions by humanity that harm
others in the quest for fulfilling individual needs. The way to know if
an act is “right” or “wrong” is to think about it before performing it.
If it in any way will harm the common good, then don’t do it.
I believe none of us comes into this world fully formed and we are
all a work in progress muddling our way to perfection by trial and
error most of the time. Sometimes our plans work out and we have
success and sometimes they come up short and we fail. Sometimes
we have good luck accidents and sometimes we have bad luck
accidents. A good rule of thumb to help us figure out what is right
or wrong thinking is. Am I going to do this because it is a good
idea,or, is this a good idea because I am going to do it.
