Villanueva ‘or his initiative on the additional funding for SUCs. The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) is respectfully proposing @ ‘Sports and Socio-Cultural programs and activities despite of being in the midst of the pandemic, | As such, the programs and activities proposed would give students a chance to take a break against anxiety and pressure | elt in this pandemic situation. In adcition, with the additional fund the Davao del Sur State College will achieve its aim to foster friendship among students from various institution of the campus in this new normal. As well as allow us to hone and possibly discover new potentials among them. The activities and programs will give limitless education and leaming opportunities. Encourages ongoing ‘education in skill and personal development. Athletes, student, faculty, and staff will learn how to perform better. Also, learn how to be better teammates. With the programs and activities coaches and sport administrators will constantly leam, grow and engage in educational processes with student, athletes and peers. Sport administrators will strive to {grow their teams and organizations. Gradually through this sport and socio-cultural programs and activities we can see a clear purpose and role for sports education and the learning process for all stakeholders. Further, this is in support to CHED Memorandum (CMO) No. 09, series of 2013 states that ‘the HEI shall provide ‘opportunities for physical fitness and well-being of students. There shall be a regular conduct of sports programs ‘supporting school athletes and the whole studentry. Further, all educational institutions shall undertake regular sports activities throughout the country in cooperation with athletic clubs and other sectors, With this, attached is the file document for the proposed implementation plan for the utilization of the funded programs "Objectives: | ‘+ Provide opportunities to skilled and talented students, athletes, performers, faculty and staff to participate | in different Socio-Cultural and Arts programs. Develop students’ skills and characteristics with specific sports and socio-cultural programs. Train athletes to be more responsible and mature in handling their physical fitness and body structure. Provide opportunities to faculty and staff to participate in physical exercises Implementing proper procedures to discipline and stimulate good attitude among the athletes. Enhance friendship and camaraderie among participants and coaches in the particular college via oniine.
