 I as a teacher I follow eight
principles: communication,
professional competence, respect,
commitment, equality, advocacy,
and trust. These eight principals
will help us have a better parent
teacher relationship in helping your
child to succeed. Communication is
my first principle I follow because
we need to communicate to each
other on how we feel, we need to
listen, understand each other’s
fears, and wants for the future
outlooks of your child.
I as a teacher know the laws for
special education students. I will
make sure these law are followed
within the schools in a professional
manner. We also have procedure
given to us from Granite School
District that as teachers we follow.
We will set expectational goals,
show the students expectable
behaviors, and accommodate for
what your child needs.
I want you to know I will treat your
child as my own. I want the best
for your child by respecting you as
a family. If you need any type of
services do not be afraid to let me
know and I will see what I can
come up with. I try to help each
family as best as I can. If your
child has religious believes for
instance, he or she cannot eat
pork, must fast, est. let me know
so I can do my best in following
what is needed. I am sure we all
will make mistakes at times but
come to me if there is an issue, we
as a team can fix and learn from
mistakes.
I am committed to give your child the
best education I can. I put your child
and your family’s concerns first. If you

easier to get a hold of me by texting but
if you call, I will try to answer the phone
at that time or call you back. We work
together as a team as equal members
who can make decisions for your child.
We have the same equality in being the
voice for your child. I always take in
consideration your wants and
thoughts.
We are a team as I stated before but if
there are difficulties that arise you or I
could get others to support each of us in
solving the issue. Before there becomes
an issue please come to me and freely
communicating on what the issue is. I
feel with freely communicating we as a
team can be advocates for your child.
I want you to know you can trust me
with your child. I will love and care for
your child while teaching each of them
academics and life skills. I also want
you to know if I say something I will do
it. For instance, if there is an issue that
arises that you brought to my
attention, and I say I will figure it out I
promise I will.
If your child has toileting needs, please
send wipes and three diapers/pullups
each day as well as a change of clothes.
For your convenience you may leave a
bag at school containing these items
and I will let you know when you will
need to send more. I have a private
Facebook group page for our classroom

post pictures of your children.
