REFLECTION

Community health nursing is a combination of nursing practice that is used to


promote and maintain population health. Integrating curative, preventive, and promotional
health care is what community health is all about. The goal of community diagnosis is to
find out what is wrong with the people in your neighborhood. The successful control of
numerous communicable diseases was a remarkable public health development. To
encourage good health, nursing and medical services were improved. Rural health
services were restructured in order to achieve Health For All through Primary Health Care.
Community health nurses are registered nurses (RN) who have been trained to serve in
public health settings and are now known as public health nurses. Nursing services are
included in all phases of health care that are arranged for the community's welfare.
Community health was first included in the nursing curriculum in 1958 by the Indian
Nursing Council.

Community health refers to the overall health of the community's people, as well
as the problems that impact their health. It also refers to the totality of the community's
health care. The goal of this is to promote health and efficiency. To prevent and control
diseases and disabilities and the need based health care to prolong life. The objectives
of community health nursing is to educate, to provide services, prevent diseases, conduct
research and improve the ability of the community. Principles of community health nursing
it should be planned based on the needs of the community. Community health nursing
services are integrated with health education, guidance, and supervision. In terms of
available resources, health care should be practical. Community involvement is an
essential component of community health care. Participation of individuals and families
in decision-making. Health care must be available at all times. It is critical to keep accurate
records and reports. Health services must be accessible to all people, regardless of their
socioeconomic status.
