THE INFLUENCE OF THE PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL ASSOCIATED WITH UKM ACCOUNTING

APPLICATION ON STUDENTS' ANALYSIS THINKING ABILITY BY USING LEARNING MOTIVATION AS A

MODERATOR VARIABLE (An Experimental Study of Accounting Practicum Subject of Company's Service,
Trading and Manufacturing in XI Accounting Students of SMK Tri Bintang Purwadadi Ciamis.

First Advisor: Dr. H. Iskandar, M.M,

Second Advisor : Dr. Agie Hangara, M.Pd.

The problem of this research is the analytical thinking ability of SMK Tri Bintang Purwadadi students are
low. Based on the results of the previous research, the average results of the analytical thinking ability
test for them on the competence of recording transactions into general journals are under the standard
value. The low analytical thinking ability of students is caused by various factors, such as students who
are less active in the learning process due to monotonous learning and students who are less motivated
to learn. This study aims: (1) to determine the differences in students' analytical thinking skills between
the classes which using Project Based Learning model assisted by UKM Accounting Applications and the
classes which using Project Based Learning models; (2) To find out the differences of students' analytical
thinking skills between students with high and low levels of learning motivation; (3) To determine the
interaction influence between the use of learning models and students' learning motivation on students'
analytical thinking skills.

The research method used is a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experiment). By using the pre test-
post test control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes. They are students of XI
AKL 1 as the class that used the Project Based Learning model assisted by UKM Accounting Applications
(22 students) and students of XI AKL 2 which used the Project Based Learning model (22 students). The
data analysis using Two Way Anova test.

The results of this research are: (1) There is a significant influence between students' analytical thinking
skills using the Project Based Learning model assisted by UKM Accounting Application with the Project
Based Learning model on the Practicum Accounting subject of Company's Service, Trading and
Manufacturing. And the Students' analytical thinking ability who use the Project Based Learning model
assisted by UKM Accounting Application is better than the analytical thinking ability of students who use
the Project Based Learning model (2) There is no difference between the students' analytical thinking
skills who have high motivation and low motivation in both classes that using the Project Based Learning
model assisted by UKM Accounting Application and the class using the Project Based Learning model (3)
There is no interaction between the Project Based Learning model assisted by the UKM Accounting
Application, with learning motivation on students' analytical thinking skills.

influence

Impact and Effect are two words that are often confused when it comes to their meanings. The
word impact is used in the sense of 'influence'. On the other hand the word 'effect' is
used in the sense of 'result'. This is the main difference between the two words impact and
