In the name of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3,
I dedicate this flagpole and veterans memorial.
May it perpetually fly our Colors as the emblem of the cause
for which our country has fought and continues to fight.
At the very top is the Flag of our Country; safe within its folds are the freedom and fealty of our nation.
Below that is the state flag of South Dakota, the Mount
Rushmore State, featuring the great seal on a blazing sun in the center, against a field of sky blue.
And below that is the POW/MIA flag, a symbol of our
nation’s concern and commitment to restoring and resolving as fully as possible the fates of Americans still prisoner, missing or unaccounted for in Southeast Asia.
I dedicate this flagpole and memorial to the purposes of the
Disabled American Veterans, our community, state and Nation, and with them I dedicate this organization to the faithful service of our Nation, our Flag, and our veterans and their families.
