Good Day my dear colleagues, as of today our world is in a great danger. Our lives and livelihood are in a pinch, where anytime it won’t be around anymore. As you know, we’ve still fighting for the health of everyone. Together with the World Health Organization, who monitors public health risks, responding to unending health emergencies and promoting human health and well-being. But still, it is isn’t enough though they’re doing their best. Why? Because today, as we are speaking, millions of people’s health is at risk. I know that you are well aware about the pandemic that is going throughout the world. Therefore, as a speaker of the youth from the Philippines, I am standing here not for me but for everyone else, what I want for our government is to increase the funds on healthcare facilities, workers and a concrete plan. Many countries suffered from it just like the Philippines, which is still on the quarantined state. As of now, there are 27,745 active cases and there are at least 1,406 is in critical condition and the total number of confirmed cases is around 422,915. If there’s still no vaccine for the virus, my guess is that it would likely to rise again. The mental health of the Filipinos is also at stake. Unending thinking of what ifs are shrouding the minds of everyone, including me. According to a research paper entitled as Psychological impact of Covid-19 pandemic in the Philippines, 16.3% of the respondents rated the psychological impact of the outbreak as moderate to severe; 16.9% reported as moderate to severe depressive symptoms; 28.8% had anxiety levels and 13.4% stress level. These are all moderate to severe, scary isn’t it? Our world is now a scary place, where anything you touch or interact with may cause you danger. As the pandemic goes on, 60 medical associations have asked for a time-out. Due to lack of personal protective equipment, our front liners are underpaid and do not get the respect they deserve. Another is that they experience pressure, stress, insomnia, denial, anger and fear. Actually, even before the outbreak, healthcare workers have already been experiencing shift fatigue, the current issue has magnified it further. In conclusion to that, the project will be implemented as what the plan is all about. Enough funds to cater the well-being of our dear front-liners who are prone to danger and enough Personal Protective Equipment’s and facilities. Do you know that 91.50% of the total number of cases are all Recovered patients? Yes, you heard it right. If the government provides all the necessary needs of our health care workers, the rate would rise rapidly. Our world will once again reclaim its reputation, peaceful and alive. A world without fear in the eyes, trembling hands and threatened lives is what we want. And I want you all to open your eyes, see beyond what we lack and what we should do. Let’s do what we can before it is too late. Thank you! REFERENCES:
