V.

INCLUDING THE MOST MARGINALIZED

1. Identification of marginalized learners.


1.1. The school has identified some senior high school students living in mountainous
areas of Sitio Wawa, Barangay San Rafael as marginalized, but they do not belong
to indigenous communities. Because of their location, internet/data availability
is very scarce hence putting them at a disadvantage.
1.2. Some learners were identified to belong to the 4P’s program.
1.3. No other groups are classified as marginalized.
1.4. Further student profiling will be done throughout the school year to identify
possible groups that has developed certain disadvantages while the school year is
on-going.

2. Health and safety of marginalized learners


2.1. Learners that can wear facemasks can attend face to face classes.
2.2. Learners that cannot wear facemasks due to their conditions will not be allowed
to attend face to face classes, however the school will ensure that they continue
to participate in learning activities as stated in the strategies below.
2.3. If needed, wheelchair ramps are present.
2.4. Our learners classified as marginalized will be subject to the same health and
safety protocols while inside the campus.
2.5. Close coordination with DSWD social worker in assisting identified 4P’s recipients.

3. Development of learning strategies to cater to the needs of marginalized learners


3.1. Learners that do not have access to the internet will be given:
3.1.1. Softcopies of study guides, assignments, worksheets/exercises,
supplementary videos as modules.
3.1.2. Hardcopy of study guides, assignments and worksheet/exercises.
3.1.3. School works may be submitted as softcopy or written.
3.1.4. Performance tasks will be adjusted so that internet use needed to
complete the PT will be minimal to none.
3.1.5. Constant monitoring will be done for the learners until they have
completed their requirements
3.1.6. Home visitation will be done by teachers and guidance-in-charge to those
who lost contact with the school and their classmates to check for possible
problems.
3.1.7. Follow-up home visits will be done to monitor the learners that are less
compliant.
3.1.8. During some special cases which require assistance (financial/in-kind),
the school together with the community extends their support to the
learner. (ex. flood victims, fire victims, etc.)
