From this song, the speaker is trying to say the lonely feeling that he had and not wanting to be
alone. Perhaps “alone” in this poem is by means of romantically, for example on the line that
said “couples holding hands on a runway, they’re all posing in a picture frame, whilst my
world’s crashing down”. The speaker doesn’t want to be alone and he needs somebody to die for.
The speaker wants someone to live, someone to lean on, whom he could devote his life to.

What the speaker is trying to suggest is that “sometimes one needs somebody to devote their life
to so that they won’t be lonely”. This is related with the feelings that the speaker expressed
through this song, the speaker is afraid to be alone and don’t want to be alone. If he had someone
to devote his life to, he won’t be lonely.
