I – Most Essential Learning Competency:


Employ a variety of strategies for effective interpersonal communication (interview,
dialog, conversation) EN7OL-I-b1.14

Objectives:
Within the period, the students are expected to:
 provide the correct Wh word to complete the question.
 construct a WH question from the given statements.
 show cooperation in collecting information from a fellow student using the WH
questions by conducting an interview .

Materials: box with questions inside, video lesson, projector and speaker,
cartolina, charts
Time Allotment: 60 minutes

III – Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
a1. Greetings
a2. Prayer
a3. Checking of attendance and giving reminders on the health protocols
a4. Review
 The teacher will ask the class to give a recap of the previous lesson.

B. Motivation
 The teacher will introduce the game The Magic box and the Mystery questions. This will
be passed and when the music stops the person holding the box will pick a question and
answer it. This procedure will repeat for 3 times.
 The teacher will ask someone from the class to give any idea about the connection of the
game and the topic for today’s discussion.

C. Activity/Lesson Proper
 Through video lesson, the different WH questions and its functions will be discussed.
Activities:
 The students will be asked to look for a pair considering this time’s health protocols.

 The teacher will show an incomplete question


 The students will provide the WH word to complete the question.
 The winning pair/s who garnered the most numbered of points will receive additional
points.
D. Analysis
 The teacher will show erroneous questions.
 She will ask the students if the questions are properly constructed or not.
 The students will be asked to explain their answer in front.

E. Abstraction generalization
 The teacher will ask the students to enumerate the different WH words
and let the students talk about the function of each WH word.
 She will ask the students of the importance of WH word in a WH question.

F. Application
 With the same pair on the first activity, the students will conduct an interview with each
other considering social distancing and following the AITF Health Protocols

IV – Assessment
Create a WH question from the following statements.
Example:
I wake up at 7:30 am.
When do you wake up?
1. My name is Brandon Joaquin.
2. I am 13 years old.
3. My birthday is on the tenth of August.
4. I am angry because I did not pass my exam.
5. I live in Purok 2, Barcelona, Lingig, Surigao del Sur.

V – Assignment
 List at least 5 questions that you want to ask to the most important person in your life.
