1. In your own words, what is volleyball? Explain further. (10 pts.)
Volleyball is a talent sport in which two teams compete on a rectangular
court divided by a high net, pass a ball over the net without it touching the ground or going out of boundaries. With each team attempting to return the ball over the net into the opposing team's side using up to three hits each effort. When a team's opponent makes an error or fails to properly return the ball over the net, they get points.
2. Explain briefly the “Game Characteristics of Volleyball”. (10 pts.)
Volleyball combines individual skills and teamwork, creativity and
discipline, energetic effort with fun and enjoyment of active movement and ball control, all the way up to professional level and world championships.
3. Why do you need to study the History and Development of
Volleyball? (20 pts.)
The foundation is history. It provides solutions to questions such as how it
evolves and why certain events occur. Studying the history and development of volleyball is essential so that we may understand why and how this game came to be, its origins, and the different difficulties and situations that have led to the volleyball game's current position in the globe. We can learn about numerous ancient concerns by studying this, and we can address current or many new issues by relating to them. This will improve our passion for volleyball.
